I love your Aurelia sweater. The color is beautiful. I feel you on those tough patterns. I promised myself to do one hard pattern that I have to have a year. That will allow several months to complete it and put it in hibernation as needed. Happy Knitting 🧶

That green is the perfect pop of color! I love the idea of it being a pull-over vest as it adds warmth without being a whole sweater. I would love to make the same thing in the same yarn and I think we are the same size! That means the 150g would be the perfect amount for me too. Great project to wear for fall transition in my state.

The green looks great on you! I’ve been watching your videos and several other podcasters’ the last few months as I dive deeper into the world of knitting after being on again, off again for years growing up - and I’ve been learning a lot! Would love to try working with the alpaca yarn and make my own totally tubular tank. Thank you so much for the opportunity to share the leftovers!! 💚

RE knitting cables without a cable needle, I know of two methods and I've only ever used one. The method I've seen explained and shown online is to just drop the first half of the stitches to be crossed, knit the second half, knit the first half (usually without even the help of the other needle, just knitting the stitches hanging in the air). The method I use (for up to 4 stitch cables, so 2 by 2, 2 by 1 or vice versa, 1 by 1) is to switch the position of the stitches on the needle and then knit them, so I'll insert my working needle in the stitches that need to be worked first (from the front or from the back depending on which direction the crossing is), I'll slide these stitches off the other needle, so the stitches that need to be crossed with the stitches I just transferred hang loose, then I'll insert my other needle in these loose stitches, then I'll transfer the stitches I just transferred to my working needle back to the other needle. So I've just made the cross, all that is left is to knit all the stitches in the order they're currently at. I have no idea what method you're using for knitting without a cable needle and I don't know whether my method will be easier/faster for you to use for socks than the toothpick, I'm just throwing it out there in case it's of some use.
