Usually with hypothyroidism people gain weight. But you can still build muscle and you should build muscle so that you can boost your metabolism.

no matter how bad your lifestyle goes some people dont gain weight if throid,insulin resistance etc are not happening , people who easily tend to gain weight even with little bit lifestyle issues even though they do walk daily etc happens with mostly issues like this, so when you see obese people be kind towards them, its mostly not because they are eating more or resting.. they need to put extra efforts life time as in indian heriditory also we gain some of these problems. (i am not talking about big stomach or just belly fat etc), over all fat and loose body etc make u look obese.
