@@niagara6015 To be fair, I think it's like a subconsious locomotion thing You dance and run very little, muscle memory kicks in and for some people, they'd rather dance than run, it's because your muscles are trained like that. She's talking about the technical aspects of how the foot/ankle arches, the strength of them and the posture. It makes 'pretty feet'. Feet are feet. Some are attractive, and some are not. Of course, ballerinas are going to have calluses, corns, etc, due to the amount of pressure and chafing, especially on the toe joints. Fortunately, I never suffered from those issues (with the exception of calluses and blisters) and still have beautiful feet, in or out of shoes. Its just part of the territory.
@shelleythompson-brock6412
Жыл бұрын
@mercurysvlogsx0 No, only some have gross feet. Take care of them, especially your nails, and nail bed. Spend as much time caring for your feet as you do anything else, if not more. Many dancers abuse their feet, and give them no care at all, short of stretches and band-aids. Gotta pamper them tootsies.

I was born with one wish and that was to dance ballet. We were dirt poor and at age 4 everyone thought I was 10 as I had inherited my mothers giraffe genes, so it never happened. 😢 However, it did not stop me from dancing on pointe barefoot, something I totally regret now 60 yrs later as my big toe is f#%€$! I remember how happy I was when we moved to a seriously cold country as it meant stiff leather boots and THOSE were seriously great to wear when tip topping on pointe through the streets. (Yeah, I was a weird kid!) I got to live to regret that too, as my mother saw that the leather on the toes of the shoes was all scraped away the next day, and grounded me until my father came home the next day and beat the crap out of me. I think the idea of ballet died that day, but not the dancing interest. Neither violence or bullying stopped me. It would take many years, but finally I began dancing again and have kept at it for decades. Some will say everyone is born a dancer, that it is in our genes to respond to beats and music. I believe half of us are born to dance, the other half are born to make the music we dance to.
