RIP Anita, Bonnie and June Pointer. I fell in love with the heavenly voices and great music as young 8 year old growing up on Chicago's west side with 'I'm So Excited', 'Jump' and 'Neutron Dance'. I know they were doing their thing long before that early to mid 80s period. But that's when I became aware of them. God bless their souls.

I was born in 1983 and never heard any of their songs but recently was watching loot on Apple TV and on one of the episodes the song Automatic plays a buried memory of my mother dancing and singing to me while she was cleaning the house came to me I called her and she said it was her favourite song when I was born and she played it over n over that's why I remembered it
I miss them all. Grew up with them on my radio, and Arsenio is my favorite late night host EV-ER...❤❤❤

Ruth Pointer and Barry Gibb have very eerie similarities. Both were the oldest siblings with three younger siblings of the same gender also in music. All of the younger siblings died sooner (with the youngest dying the soonest in each case, June and Andy), with the oldest sibling outliving ALL three of the younger siblings. Ironically, the deepest voiced woman and the highest-pitched falsetto man have so many other similarities. Truly eerie, like a yin-yang of sorts. Ruth Pointer and Barry Gibb should do duets, in the form of joint tributes to all the younger siblings that have passed.

Jada died 2003 and June in 2006. Sarah Pointer died 2000. It was a string of deaths for the Pointer family of their loved ones, unfortunately. It took its toll on Anita as she wrote in her new book Fairytale! Baby Roxie was who kept her going. She now plays a prominent roll in her grandmother's and aunt Bonnie's life. God bless them! Miss June:-(

@Iceman 23 Can you believe it? And suddenly too! They were able to say their goodbyes to June, but sadly, not to Bonnie. With Ruth living in Boston area and June gone, Anita and Bonnie had gotten very close, they were each other's best friend and they had just recorded that beautiful song, "Feels Like June" as a tribute to June. Therefore, I am feeling sad for Anita, knowing that another loved one has been snatched from her again.:-(
