About 20 years ago I got the first Polar Lights reissue of the small Aurora kit. Now they just reissued the glowing parts version I had as a kid in the 70's. I also just found the 2 foot Shogun Warriors Godzilla in a thrift store. 6 BUCKS!! I paid another $30 just for a repro fist. They're over $250 on Ebay.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh boy! Wow, Chris, I dragged mine out of the stash and am all wound up to get going on it again. Your videos are always lots of fun, but in this instance your unrestrained excitement is not only a joy to listen to, it's a high-water mark for what this hobby is all about. If any of your viewers had a bad day and needed cheering up, THIS IS THE VIDEO TO WATCH. Even if Godzilla isn't someone's cup of tea, I DARE anyone who makes models to watch this episode and not have a good time and get jazzed to head for the workbench. Cars aren't usually my thing, but I've gone out and bought car kits based on watching you having a blast. (Several of the Coca Cola-themed trucks to be exact). It's infectious in the best way possible. Let the Monday Morning Quarterbacks whine all they want...the ones who find fault are the same ones who NEVER SEEM TO HAVE ANY FINISHED KITS TO SHOW WHAT "EXPERTS" THEY ARE.

So glad I've found your channel, as not only is it inspiring but informative and entertaining at the same time, I've already learn't at lot of useful tips Which brings me to a question I hope can be answered, I'm interested in the use of the Rustoleum sprays you use for priming, painting and finishing. Living in the UK I'm not sure the Rustoleum products are the same as yours, could you or someone point me in the right direction of primer, paint and finishing sprays to buy from the Rustoleum range in the UK?.......By the way, I've just ordered this kit myself!

I tried to get this kit earlier this year and ordered it from a website that will remain nameless ... they never told me it was out of stock (their site format is apparently designed to mislead and frustrate you) until I had waited about a month and then inquired. This time I'll be more careful, but I had wanted to get and build it for my wife's birthday in May, since we are both Godzilla fanatics. Christmas will have to do. But man, I absolutely LOVE your enthusiasm over this kit - it's great to see that you obviously love what you do! Just say No to Squadron putty :). I use Aves Apoxie Sculpt. It's a 2 part 'dough', non toxic, and unlike Squadron it does not shrink as it dries. The only thing I'd use Squadron for is extremely fine gaps such as when airplane wings go into the airplane fuselage, but nowadays I don't use it at all. The nice thing about Aves is that on textures like Godzilla's tail, or on the hair of figure kits, you have plenty of time to use a simple tool to push the material around and re-texture it before it hardens (24 hour cure time.)
