Hello.... Thank you very much for the information on Polaroid Cube pluse... I know it is quite along ago since you made that video. I wonder if you could help me to purchase the black color Polaroid cube+ OR anything similar with better specifications, cheaper, and more.... if that is possible. I checked on Amazon but unfortunately they don't have black colour and it is confusing me in terms of costs & quality.!!!??? Once again well done in your work 👏 and thank you! 😃 👌

Here's the information from the video description regarding the black-frames issue (which isn't an issue). "UPDATE - BLACK FRAMES in 1080p60 I've now noticed that the black frames were not present in the original files, they only appeared after the files were imported into iMovie. It therefore looks likely that this is an iMovie bug rather than any issue with the Cube+".

lpka I will be using them on racing quads- the magnet will not have any adverse effect unless it were to be placed directly on the flight controller. You may be interested to know that the Cube+ WiFi utilises the 802.11N standard...this explains the snappy WiFi streaming performance. I couldn't find the WiFi specs for the Cube+ anywhere, however an interrogation of the WiFi signal reveals that it is 802.11n 2.4ghz. Also - the battery life whist recording in 1080p30 with the WiFi turned on and streaming to a phone is 75 mins...so the WiFi knocks about 10 mins off the battery life.

Helpful review; I've been planning on buying this little camera for some time now. Here in Canada, it sells for $150. I plan to use it to get some shots where a larger camera won't fit. I think the video quality is decent enough so you can use it to capture secondary shots when using another main camera. I'd say its #1 selling feature is that its tiny, and #2, its not super expensive. Its a device you can carry around in your pocket and whip it out when you need to shoot a bit of quick video. And another bonus is that most people won't even realize its a video camera. (sneaky) And the one thing I learned from your review is that it has timelapse mode. I shoot quite a bit of video this way already. (hyperlapse) I was not impressed with the original CUBE, but I think the CUBE+ has been improved enough to make it useful to ad to the list of other cameras I have. For the record, I already own the Polaroid XS-100i, I find it to be a decent action cam, I use it almost daily.

You filmed in Liverpool! So much better than the blandness of Manchester where you usually go. St. Georges Hall is my favourite of all my home city's buildings, and it looks as amazing as ever here. Techmoan Interesting. I immediately ordered one after watching your review (I've never done that before). I have a trip coming up and this seems to be a great way to capture hands free video and no need for lots of equipment either. Also, I've given some thought to a clothing mounting device. I'm thinking a hard drive magnet would hold it very well. So all I have to do is wear it with the magnet on the inside of my shirt or waist area and the camera on the outside. Keeping it still will take some practive I'm sure. I've got some time to play with it before the trip thankfully. Love love love your channel.

use some sticky tack on that camera mount to stop it rattling lol. Also I'm very surprised its easier to see the red LED over the green one. Our eyes are very sensitive to green light and not very sensitive to red (a hundred times in fact), so the red light is probably actually brighter than the green by many times even if it just looks slightly brighter. Interesting. Edit: Been thinking about it, and if vision goes by the same idea as hearing and most other human senses, its probably a base 10 situation. That is to say if you perceive something as being twice as bright, it's actually probably 10x as bright. I'll have to look into this.

This is the best review with loads of great information. I had the original Cube but it fell off the magnet and is lost. I did like it however. One question I have is.....I had to spend more money in mini SD cards than the cost of the camera before I could find one that that actually worked but since I've lost it I don't know which it was. Can you tell me which card brand you use with the new cube? Also is the wifi model even worse on power than the original? Also I was able to run my cube for up to 4 hours with a power bank hooked up......is this likely to be the same with the plus? Also, one more question if you'd be so kind.....I personally liked the 5 minute video segments. Since the sound never worked I had to run it through a video convertor which was rather slow so I found the 5 min segments useful so I'd only convert the small percentage of video that I actually needed. It seems that the plus model will run clips as well as indefinite but will the clips run continuously? Again, great review and thanks Dave

Hey Techmoan. Thank you for making this review. As far as I can see, this could just possibly be my next camera. (I'm still very happy about the Mobius, but 60 fps in 1080p, and picture stabilization in a small camera would be awesome). The rattling in the tripodmount worrys me a bit though, but don't you think it can be fixed by putting some foam-tape in the bottom of the mount? Such a shame that they haven't thought of making a hole for a tripodscrew in the magnet. A simpel, but brilliant solution. Please pass on the suggestion if you get the chance. It's actually a shame that so many camera's are made without a tripodscrew, it truly limits the mounting possibilities on so many of them. Especially when you want to record sound as well, and have to put them in a box. That sure is a dealbreaker on many, and so is also the extra weight from the box. I know they make them without, because they want to sell ekstra mounts, but insted they don't get anything sold at all. That's pretty stupid. I use the Mobius for a lot of things, but mainly mounted on a cap, so I can walk around and record everything I see (and hear), without having to think about it. I used to run around with a camcorder, and nearly stumble over my own feet every other second, from looking at the display. The Mobius has solved that problem in a brilliant way. I actually recorded most of our family vacation that way last year (of course supported by another camera for zoom recordings). I'm really happy about the results in 95% of the cases, but 60 fps for the last 5% with much, and fast movement (still in 120') would be perfect. If I can find a way to mount the Polariod the right way on a cap, it sure looks like it could be a winner. Another nice thing is that you can buy the former model in Danish stores, and I expect that this model will be available pretty soon. (Too many camera's can not be bought in Denmark). It makes it much easier to test, and return the camera (if it turns out to be a disappointment), than when you have to buy them over the internet. Once again thank you for making this test/review. This is a camera I look forward to get my hands on. My very best wishes. Soundrookie.

So, using the app, could this camera be used as a real-time Wi-Fi monitor without actually recording anything. Say, for example, I'm waiting for a parcel to arrive. Could I set this near a window looking out toward the street so I could see when the parcel truck arrives even if I'm in another part of the house?
