Police Blue are the 2019 Fiji Bitter Marist 7s Rugby Champions after beating Warden Gold 17-12. The Marist 7s is one of the oldest and most prestigious Rugby 7s tournaments in Fiji. Waisale Serevi, the Head Coach of the Russian 7s team was particularly complimentary of the tournament. "Teams as far away as Lakeba have come to play and I have seen a lot of teams from the interior and from the Islands ... it shows that if you want to develop more talent and more depth Marist is a great example grassroots 7s Rugby ..."
Ratu Filise under 20 side one the U20 final defeating Ratu Kandavulevu School RKS in sudden death 15-10.

According to report in the Fiji Sun, Coach of the Fiji 7s Team, Gareth Baber has been particularly impressed with Amenoni Nasilasila and the veteran Police Blue playmaker Livai Ikanikoda. Ikanikoda last played for Fiji when Fiji won the Gold Coast 7s Tournament in 2012 however an unfortunate leg injury had held him back. In the same report, Mesulame Kunavula will not be pursuing a career in Scotland.
Also of note is the Russian Rugby 7s team who participated in the Marist 7s particularly Russia beating former champs Tabadamu.
