Jaswinder Parmar the only problem is if the cop who comes thinks everyone is wasting their times, or even just a specific group. There should be something done legally to people who abuse emergency services, no doubt about it. Like this incident, this woman should have to pay a hefty fine, like $200, then it goes up per false report. Unfortunately we live in a society where a woman can be called hysterical for reporting a rape could qualify as wasting cops time depending on the cop and the assailant. And if the cop's racist, then we have to deal w them arresting people for calling the cops based on their skin color. It's a type of power I wouldn't be comfortable giving a cop if it's based on "wasting their time." Especially if it depends on the officer's opinion. If we didn't have to worry about that, then I'd agree with you completely.

I’m a black mailman in Birmingham, MI, an upper class, rich suburban city about 5-10 miles away from Detroit. I’ve been on the exact same route for 5 years. I’m always in full postal blue uniform, my truck has the current postal sanctioned eagle logos, I always carry my satchel, also bearing the logo, and I always have an arm full of mail. I wear plastic gloves because I hate germs, and I’ve seen mail pieces stained with blood. But none of that matters because someone ALWAYS drives or walks past staring at me. I’ve seen people MANY times park their car adjacent to my mail truck in a means of seeing if I’m really the mailman. What the hell do you think I’m doing?????? Just throwing random paper into a mailbox?? Do you think I WANT to be out in 100+ degree heat, 0 below cold, pouring rain nonstop, walking 10-12 miles a day for 8-12 hours (or more, depending on the time of year) a day, 6 days a week, with my knees, back, and everything else aching?? Breaking my body down, THE LAST thing on my mind is whatever the fuck you have in your household. I barely get to see my wife and son, and people have the audacity to stop and stare at me as if I’m a criminal. People walking to the other side of the street as if I’m going to do something to them. Do what, throw mail at you and give you paper cuts???? Delivering mail is an old time civil service, so that you can get that card you’ve been waiting for, or that check that you needed just in time. I’m not saying all carriers are good carriers. There are some that don’t make the cut. But the route I’m on is MINE. Assigned to me, with my name on the paperwork. I make $80k+ a year carrying mail, plus any other ventures I have going. I need nothing from NO ONE. All I ask, all anybody asks, that’s black and living perfectly normal, respectful lives, MINDING OUR OWN BUSINESS, is stop treating ALL of us as if we all fit into the criminal category. It’s extremely frustrating and people are getting tired of it

Notice a trend in the past few weeks with all these stories? You think this just started happening a couple weeks ago? You think this only happens to black kids? Bullshit. More race baiting propaganda from the media to further the divide of the American people. Use your brain and think, you neanderthal. Eric Nick well of course that's what the police were put here to do according to the very intelligent person above, arrest black people for doing everyday activities... No literally the police force started off as slave catchers. If more people knew this they will understand what was really going on SMH

In a very dangerous country like United states . Where every one needs guns to be protected is very dangers have kids delivering news papers. First of all 2 things should be considered. What kind of neighborhood is What news paper is And what time is been delivered All those answers were left unanswered for a reason.....

Guy threatened to call the cops on my kids a few years ago for “threatening his dog” they weren’t. When i confronted him he pretty much told me that the whole neighborhood had been watching my kids (10, 6) while they played. He ended up apologizing to me, still does to this day...

I'd prolly move, sounds like some freaks. That being said, this woman called the cops for much different reasons, just a misunderstanding, she DID see someone walk up to a house in the middle of the night and take something (dark so she had no idea what). Just cause it was a very unfortunate misunderstanding doesn't make her the same kinda shitty. Very possible she was genuinely doing the right thing but just fucked up on this one, it DOES happen and this story seems like one of those situations (or at least more likely given the details).

Kisu Bags they whole neighborhood watching your child? They don't have jobs in that neighborhood? What is wrong with this people? Even calling a cops on a kid like this should be at shame of themselves. When you see a kid doing something wrong you call their parents not the cops.
@kisubags437

Bluesteel I did move, small town see the same people all over the place. However this idea that people working in neighborhoods especially kids is some sort of danger that needs cops is ridiculous and people need to stop giving them the benefit of the doubt considering that they don’t give it to anyone themselves.

Epic who cares...traumatic experience? does that kid look traumatized? this story and I'm sure the story being fed to him to say is more traumatic than anything else. I'm sure when he grows older he'll have a different story to tell on how CNN coached him to say specific things....for one he should not grow up fearing cops. he was probably well spoken and explained what happened to the officer and was handled easily. But I'm sure CNN does not want to talk about that....they dont want anyone to know how the cop acted at all....only that some lady called them.

To me that lady learned her lesson...or maybe not. some people love conflict of any kind...racist or not...I'm sure u know people like this, maybe you're one of those kind of people. If you hate what you hear or see then maybe being the better person to end it from spreading further. I think it's all nonsense. black, white brown whatever. excuses from all. The scars from the experience will show as he ages. He will forever remember this for the rest of his life. Believe me I know and I am sure I speak for a lot of Black Men and people who have had experiences similar to this as not only an adult but a child as well. The reality is that this is nothing new. It has been going on forever but now there are more media outlets to report it. There are also now more BLACK journalists and broadcasters like Don Lemon who are bringing it to the forefront. It all comes down to one thing and one thing only and that is racism. This is what Black Mothers have traditionally encountered with their Black Sons and Children in America for the longest time and it still continues. It is nothing new and it can not be disputed. It is Racism and for those who think otherwise and say it isn't so, you are only contributing to the problem and are not facing the reality.

Man, this story really ticks me off. Before any of you trolls decide to comment, I don't read responses to my comments. I had a paper route when I was a kid, back in the 60's. I delivered the Milwaukee Journal. I had 64 customers. After I paid for my papers, I made $9.00 a week. I saved up $400.00 and purchased my first car from my Uncle. Christian Townsend People like you always bring the “Muhh school shootings” excuse every single time i show the REAL NATIONAL DATA. I am well aware of the school shootings, because that’s the only shootings the mainstream media like CNN show us. But they don’t show you the shootings happening almost on daily basis in the streets of Baltimore, Detroit & Chicago. They don’t show you how HUGE the number of black on black crimes is. All they show you is “Police brutality” & “Black victims” while completely ignoring Black on Black crimes which is 10X higher. And why in the world are you talking about gangs? No shit i know that white people can be part of gangs. I never said white people are all angels. Wtf are you trying to say. The huge majority of gang members are Black & Latinos, now that’s a fact.
