That thing in the back with all the wires on it is called a buss. Neutral buss, ground buss, whatever you're using it for.

Be aware that that drill battery can cause those old Aerodynic motors to melt down. I personally would stay away from those with those particular motors. Everything else game one! Nice setup.

With the money saved from getting inexpensive switches you can buy another lightbar. Genius

Every electrical guy seeing this setup is screaming internally. Lots of fire hazards present there...

Not really when I'm not using it the battery is disconnected. And all connections are tight and 12 gauge wire and higher. Doesn't look pretty in the back for sure but been set up that way for two years now with no issues.

You can just get a 12v power supply and forget the battery

I know but I've had some in that past and they burn up and die just like the battery will. That why I'm just keeping it simple and using a battery. Plus it's not hurting anything using it. After all the light were designed to run on a cars 12v system.

I'm not to concerned with it. Not like I run them daily it's more just a way to be able to turn them on.

How many feet of wire do you think youve used?? 😂Need to do something similiar with my collection
@bluedakota80

Just went out and did a rough measuring. Close to 350 feet 🤯. Just because of how far some are from the switches. If you are able to condense it and depending on how many lights you have you could probably get away with 200 feet

Sounds like you should have plenty of wire. I put the mind blown on there cause I didn't really pay to much attention to how much wire I used. Because I have all kinds of wire floating around so I only bought one roll of 100 foot. But doing the grounds the way I did save a lot of wire.

Yea if I had a section where I could use a scrap piece so I didn't have to cut any off the roll made the roll last longer
