Thank you for your video's. Nothing wrong with your technique that I can see, if it works, it works! I'm 70 and I also like/need to save money, to use for things I can't build, like a new cam, rims, whatever. For a buffer I've used drills held in a vice. I picked up an old quality 3/4" drill for $5 at an estate sale because the outer layer of the cord was flaking off. New cord ((I keep cords when things die). A bolt and fender washers holding the pad, (old valve spring retainers work pretty good depending on the buffing pad hole size) chucked up in the drill, ta-da a low RPM, decent torque, buffer/drill. For taking the small dents out I've used old long bolts, like head bolts, ground at the tip to different shapes I needed. I've got a good collection of different size diameter and shapes now. For those small dents I have used those "baby" trim hammers and even those small brass trinket hammers, the ones with the screw drivers in the handle. Point is, to show the younger folks that you don't have to have the newest, grooviest, $2000 hammer, etc. to get things done. Thinking outside the box, AND THINKING IS THIS GONNA BE SAFE, can work and save them money for other toys. You keep on with your great videos and you will help build new generations to continue this love of classics. John

Great video I must admit i’ve been waiting for this video. 👍🏻 I really appreciate your advice. You are a very good educator. You start at the basic concepts in your videos, add in some personal stories, and then build on the concepts you are teaching step by step. Great job! Thanks again for taking us on this journey with you.

Simichrome Polish is very good also. I used a small one inch by 2 inch 1/4 arbor cottonwheel on a straight Dotco air motor and did alot of the stainless on my 55 on the car. Came out very nice just as far as the polish aspect goes.Yes fixing dents isnt rocket science just a few things to know. Having the right little hammer and metal backer bar or dolly to use and files. Also to learn the grades of paper and order of sanding the parts to get to a polish stage. As an alternative I have used all three grades of 3 inch polishing 3M Roloc discs on a right angle motor it gets you to polishing stage quicker but thats another story. Great Video Im amazed how you work on the floor my days of that are over,LOLLL! Im older...
