@@dragoro3033 Hell yeah. My view is we should begrudglingly vote for Biden to tell the Republicans that they can't elect a maniacal fuckwad as the leader of the GOP. We can't elect an anti-2A Republican. That sends the message that it's okay for Republicans to be anti-2A, as long as they're LESS 2A than Democrats. Fuck that. They need to respect our rights. I'm voting for Biden, unhappily, but to do what is best for the country in the long run, even if we get some bad bills passed in 2020-2024. We'll get a normal guy, and then we can hopefully vote Libertarian even in 2024. That would be something.

There shouldn't be a 2A community. That amendment, like all of the other amendments, safeguards the individual right to own and bear arms for ALL Americans. The problem is that some folks that consider themselves to be American simply are no longer American at all. I don't care if they were born here or if they were naturalized, it doesn't matter how they came to be American citizens, but if they work to dismantle the fabric of our republic and separate us from our individual, God given rights, then they void their right to be considered or called American citizens. Sorry, but that is how I see it.

@Trumptaconoballs Indeed. It's a nice sound byte, but when you think a bit more about it, what really matters isn't that you can hear gun fire, what matters is *who* is wielding those guns? If it's only the agents and officers of the government or the hired guns of the elite that can wield firearms, then you really aren't free. Just as the concept of voting spreads out decision making among more people, giving people a means to check the concentration of power at the top, so too does the 2nd Amendment act as a check against the government having a monopoly on force. But, just as voting itself doesn't guarantee that a citizenry will make wise decisions, neither does widespread firearm ownership among civilians guarantee that it will be used as a check against government power. It merely provides the tools, it's still up to the citizenry to make best (or worst) use of them.

100% correct. Coming from an Afghan who was involved in war. Gunfire is the sound of freedom, believe me. During the Soviet-Afghan war, the quiet areas were the towns that fell under Soviet control. The war zones and gunshots were the areas where my brothers fought for our freedom, where we fought for our freedom. We would not go quietly into the night, and I lost many brothers in those battles, but the only sound worse than the gunfire was the lack of gunfire, because that meant we had lost.

Semi autos are just fine for the civilian population, which in case you've forgotten are the vast majority of fine folks. Now if only Hollywood had his common sense.. I used to go to a movie theater each week as it was a luxury thing I loved... I have not been to the movies in 2 years now and rarely watch any streaming TV show (no Netflix way before the put on the Cuties movie) Now I just buy DVDs and watch all the great shows we had before 2000 or so.... Lots I missed or can be rewatched... Have to get them before they are banned by the hate mob.. Over the last month or 2 they have banned Gone with the Wind, Little Britain, Faulty Towers etc etc etc.. Any show can be banned or edited now becuse they don't want people to own things any more.. Disney has been cutting out parts of their old movies for year... They removed a scene from Fantasia becsue one of the Unicorns was brown skinned, that to them was a reason to cut out a scene without telling people... Kids will grow up and never see original books, Movies, shows again as they just change them in secret now... Some changes have been made just due to one complaint or a single hit piece done by an activist website... Anything to keep the mob happy now(if it's violent, they don't care about the none violent protestors)

It's NOT REALLY TRUE though. There was gunfire in Hong Kong and they are NOT free. In fact, many of those Chinese who were seeking FREEDOM are now dead. A large number of Russians heard gunfire during "The Great Patriotic War." They weren't free either. We should consider what happened in these places as a warning. When I see someone coming out of a PRIVATELY OWNED business with a new gun, I KNOW we're STILL FREE. May that continue long beyond both of our lives.

If you think about it we are taxed in pretty much every facet of our lives. Government has become so intrusive a kid can't even open a lemonade stand without the burden of attaining a license. The days of the simple life are dead and gone. That is not the fault of any single party, it's of the people of this country for allowing it to happen. I didn't run, I chose to move out of a city that will throw me in prison for defending myself. Why don't you try spending some time on my block and see how you like it. Individual freedoms are ensured by the pen. If it's quiet that means no one is shooting guns. Protecting one's self is one matter. If you are on the end of gun fire innocently, then freedom won't matter. I have seen your videos Jerry. As anyone can tell you are really good. I'm not even close to your skills. If the time comes when it is up to you, me or anyone else to protect our freedoms with our guns, then freedom has already been lost. It is up to our representatives to ensure our freedom.

@@jayabacromby675 Maybe that works for you but as for me and my house we do not leave our freedom to be safe from violence in the hands of my "representative" nor do I leave the security of my home in the hands of the police (who do a great job) but are minutes away when seconds count. Freedom comes in many forms. in a civil society and armed society is a polite society. It is always power that keeps tyranny at bay. Guns are power.

@@gunnertone6647 Guns enable you to protect yourself from harm. As we both know there too many ways we can be harmed. I have a CCP, and I carry. In truth I wish it wasn't necessary, but as we both know it's just not that way. Yes I agree with you armed is polite. I also train protection dogs. I make more friends of all ages with my dogs. In my experiences the most polite people in the world are the Japanese. They may be crowded, but they are nice people. Things being what they are now it is different. By that I mean before this virus if you have a common cold you wear a mask as a courtesy to your countrymen. So as to not spread the cold. As a courtesy, That's polite. Very inspirational. I’m dutch, living in Germany. Since my childhood I’ve been in love with United States. I loved everything. That dream started to fade away when America started to interfere and push for more and more wars. As a young man I moved to California and wanted to live the American dream. I didn’t understand much about politics back then, but I have witnessed how politics influence entire areas and mindset of people. After one year I moved back to Europe. There I read the American Constitution and understood the importance and the value of this document. I started to study American politics and was shocked to see how many states push unconstitutional laws. And during corona it has become more obvious then ever. I’ve told myself; one day I will move back home, and home being the United States, since that’s the only nation that provides the freedoms that I consider a necessity to live a free life. The only difference, this time it will be a red state. To my American brothers and sisters. Protect the Constitution with everything you have. This document is the foundation of your freedom. Don’t give it away for security. God bless

I've just been scrolling through the comments and I realized, after reading this one, just how and where America fits in the world. When I read politically left arguments and thoughts on how America should change, I realized that they all want something: health care, free housing, free education, and so on. But speakers of statements like this one, they only want free_dom_. This is everyone's fight, and America is the battleground. Thank you for your comment, and thanks for reading mine. Then stand with us against taxation one day the people Biden wants to tax can be you, or your kids. If you really felt that you know what to do. Alot of Democrats are voting against Biden because that party's values have gone off the rails. Social issues are important but if you don't have freedom then you can't do anything about social issues 😉

@@lindawhite4881 I think Congress passes the taxes. Colorado has some really interesting Constitutional amendment(s) that keep taxes at the state level incredibly difficult to pass, which is nice I guess. One of the two parties talks about doing away with those amendments an awful lot.

And he's a shot place holder for Harris I can't see how anyone can vote for someone knowing they are just a place holder for someone who couldn't even make it through the primarys her own party wouldn't back her in the primary race. I guess it doesn't matter who you vote for anyway your in Colorado apparently.. biden has to stop trump in 4 states Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Pennsylvania and trump is neck and neck with him and there's a shy trump vote and way more people who will walk over broken glass for Trump, it's alot closer than anyone puts on. Also when people who don't like Trump wind up in that voting booth they're gonna forget about corona virus and think about the next 4 or 8 years it brings it back to a binary choice not good for Biden, hate doesn't normally beat optimism or "love" one thing about Trump's supporters they love him. So I guess we'll see what happens.

@@oIKane It's a foundation for belief. I personally think far too many people have strong opinions without a strong foundation on which those opinions stand. Too many intellectuals looking at how they can fix the world, all the while dismissing the principles of what actually makes things work. Day-to-day problems are our problems when we have the freedom and individual agency to fix them. It may seem vague to tout those things, but all that tells me is that we need to stop taking them for granted. Not that I'm saying you're wrong, either...getting sht done is important; it simply has prerequisites that many of us take for granted.

Don't spend time worrying about what others may or may not do with those same decisions: you can't control them. This doesn't mean you shouldn't be aware of the people around you or their potential behaviors. In my mind, if you dwell on what others think or may do too much, you aren't living your life. You are allowing your life to be lived by proxy. Think about that.

Over 20 years ago, my parents moved our family to the US. In our home country, my dad had a well paying government job, housing and utilities provided for, but my parents thought that moving to the US would be better for us. Our family went from surviving off a PhD student's stipend to putting three kids through college. Two of us have already graduated, one is on track to graduate. I served in the USMC, my brother is in Army ROTC and wants to be a medical officer. The USA truly is the land of opportunity, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar.

@@TraptbyBenjamin I come from Denmark, my parents are both laborers without an education, they never made a lot of money and we often lived just above the poverty line, and yet, I managed to go through university and get not just one, but two master's degrees and a healthy salary afterwards, and I don't have mountains of student debt either. Here in Denmark, that's not an unusual story, neither is being the child to academics and choosing to become a carpenter or an electrician. Because of our system, we have the freedom to choose what we want to do with our lives, and we're not bound by the size of our parents' bank accounts. America has economic freedom, Europe (And particularly northern Europe) has social freedom.

I feel like his views line up with Libertarian way more than Republican but unfortunately many people believe that a vote for 3rd party is a wasted vote. The truth is unless you're in a swing state a vote for a major party is a wasted vote because your state will vote the same way every time, whereas voting 3rd party brings more attention to the the candidate, brings them funding for the next election, and possibly even a place in the debates.

Thank you, Jerry, for saying what I feel. I am a 77 year old part time NRA Range Safety Officer in my retirement and I do that so I can shoot at the club for free and pick up brass to reload. I don't even know how many guns I have, which I've heard is the way it's supposed to be. My wife of over 42 years and I are licensed and trained and carry legally everyday. We have never had to drawn our weapons in self defense, we're just ready if that unfortunate situation ever arises. I lived in the country in my youth and my father gave me a double barreled .410 for Christmas when I was 12 to teach me how to pheasant hunt, then made me carry it unloaded for nearly 2 years to make sure I and everyone around me was safe while we crossed creeks and fences. How I loved my father then and since in my memories of him. Thank you for doing what you do as an inspiration and example for all of us who believe as you do. God bless America. Molon Labe.

Jerry, I'm from India and I completely agree with your short & precise message. I spent 10 great years in the USA and have learnt a lot. The people of the US of America must choose a leader who preserves individual freedom & pledges to honor the constitution wholeheartedly. President Trump's immigration policies affected people like me, but I & many like me, completely understand that the decisions taken by him kept the citizens of the USA above all others. God bless the USA & the people who believe in freedom & democracy.

Google User It is awesome that you understand that a country “should” place its own citizens first. That is the overriding concern and reason for any government to exist, is to protect and serve its citizens. Too many governments see their reason for existing is to “Lead” by telling their citizens what to do, what to think, what and how to be. America loves proper and lawful immigration, and I seriously doubt that our borders will ever permanently close or seriously restrict immigration in the long term. There are many who choose to come here, most for the right reasons, some for the wrong ones. The wrong people, are just plain bad people no matter where they are. Keep heart, things will progress and change.

Don't worry, those restrictions will ease up at some point. Its unfortunate they weren't able to pass any meaningful reform on the process. The whole point of those policies were to shut down and review the current process and make them more efficient as well as safer. We are a country of immigrants and we won't forget that.

Once you stop listening to mainstream media and all that other garbage and actually listen to the politicians, it will change you. Finding truth may prove to be a challenge but it’s what you must do. It’s always difficult, having to rethink your stances, but it will always help you in the end. You have hope in America, that’s a good sign, you’ve just been misled.

The only person shot was an unarmed mom by a capitol security guard. Nancy Pelosi was furious somebody knocked all the papers off her desk. People were taking selfies inside while waiving the American flag. News cameras were interviewing protestors. Nobody was hiding their face unlike Antifa. No fires were lit. Did ALL the protestors go inside the capital? No, not even close. Did the protestors who went inside break the law? Absolutely. Should they be arrested? Absolutely! Do u even know what an insurrection is?

I am British, and mostly love sitting back and watching debates from this country, sometimes laughing, sometimes sighing. But when this airs, it'll be one of few times i have attualy been interested in what someone has to say on American politics during the last 4 years. Gun owners in the US get a rep, wich some deserve, but you, Jerry, don't. You spent your hole KZitem career and most of your life practicing gun safety, and rational, smart ideas, that have set a precedent amoung the reputation of gun owners, expecaly for someone in the UK. Whatever you vote, or believe, if you decide to disclose, I'll be happy to continue to surport your channel, as you, and gun owners like you, are practically necessary in the industry. Keep shootin'.

Here is something you likely haven't heard on American politics. There is one reason and one reason only why the United States has the oldest continuous government on the planet today: the 2nd Amendment. The monarchy clung on in England for many decades, and longer in Europe (to the early 20th century), but not in the USA. I hope you don't mind. I figured you might enjoy something other than quick, one line comments on this subject written in "Gen Z Text." Don't get me wrong: many of them are great to read, but I'm one for diversity...diversity of thought, and thought I'd add a little different spice into the crucible this morning. Media represent 0.001% of our population and ask questions that only interest inside-the-beltway deep state and media swamp creatures. There should be 4 debates moderated by a panel of 5 questioners: 2 Democrat, 2 Republican and 1 Independent. PANEL 1: Businesspeople. Some large corporate, some small business. PANEL 2: Clergy. Catholic, Evangelical, Southern Baptist, Rabbi, Imam. PANEL 3: Military. US Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard. And, PANEL 4: Students. College (various disciplines), High School. That way 95% of the American people will be represented and get questions that will address what REAL Americans want to know about. Whadd'ya think?

Yes, sure it's just KZitem, but it is viewed by many people. It's sad to see so much illiteracy or sub-literate writing. The "educational system" is more concerned with indoctrination into the political left, than actually teaching the students real facts. Right and wrong used to be obvious concepts. In the 1960s, communist subversion seeped into the halls of higher learning, bringing on the hippie culture. One of the tenets voiced by the "leaders" was "if it feels good, do it!" Philosophies of that nature infested the youth, developing into a culture of me first, last, only. Throughout all of this upheaval, individuals who were willing to take the reins of power, did so. Some were good, and some evil. The inept were also plentiful. Adherence to the precepts of the Constitution has disappeared. Joe Biden says that "assault weapons" should be illegal. Period. Donald Trump says that he supports the Second Amendment, but I haven't heard a peep about legislation to repeal any of the 20,000 laws that infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Locally, one of the candidates for United States Senate is clearly a gun grabber, while his opposition has been advised to introduce legislation to repeal the NFA and GCA. Those bits of legislation have not been proffered. I will not be surprised if the incumbent is defeated by the grabber.

MEN & TIME & Organization... We (on the right) don’t organize as effectively as those on the left. BTW- It’s against our constitution to destroy without having something to replace it with. We must be careful with our speech because some bubba is going to start defending himself in a unrighteous manner. Look at MLK, that movement took the beatings and stayed peaceful. Right now, we have options- I hope everyone looks into the convention of the states. This movement has died out since Donald Trump became president. We lost valuable time, we could have Nancy Pelosi as president by the end of January! They want us to retaliate but we must stay peaceful! Americans will not allow evil to reign.

And that's your right.. Just don't complain if you loose all your Guns as one side has promised to ban most guns... I think he only supports bolt action rifles and shotguns... His pistol ban has changed.. Once it was only tiny magazines ( 5rds or Somthing) and other times its revolvers and single shot pistols only) That's one of the things about your vote, vote how you want but don't complain if you get hurt by the result... Like Tom Selick also does right ins.. He says he does it to keep all his show watchers happy no matter what side they are on and it stop Hollywood not giving him work.. But he is also a masive gun guy and used to be part of the NRA (doing adverts etc..) Now his vote could mean him loosing a lot of his guns etc... But it's a free country and you get to choose even if that choice hurts you...

But a few weeks ago I was driving my truck through town (fairly small town in the desert region of CA). I have (and have done so for years) a 5 foot tall pole and mount in the bed of my truck that I sometimes put up with a flag on it, this was one of those days, bright, shiny, warm but not hot, perfect day. There are no political stickers on my truck, no party colors or flags, no candidates names, etc. I just don't put that kind of stuff on my vehicles, but flags I do. At a stop light, with a light breeze blowing, my 3x5 foot American flag looked, in my opinion, pretty darned good flowing there. A voice yelled out "F**k America", loud enough to echo off the walls of the buildings along that street. I looked around, but never did see who yelled. And the light changed so I went on my way. All I have to say is, if you don't like America, why are you still here? And I have to ask why, in the US, would an American flag bring such a response? Later the same day I pulled into a parking lot and parked, got out of the truck and walked toward the store. Two people a few parking stalls later were getting into their car. One of them said to the other, after looking at my truck, something about "those da***d Trump supporters". Keep in mind, there is NO WAY to tell from looking at my truck what party or person I might, or might not, vote for. Why would there be an automatic thought that if I am proud of the US, or proudly fly the American flag, I would vote for one specific party or candidate? If such a person believes that only "bad" people fly the flag, then what are their plans for the nation if their party is in power? Sorry man, rant off, I was just genuinely surprised at the responses that day, and I have flown flags for years. It is not an imagined thing, there has been a significant shift in national pride in the last couple years.

My wife, and I are philanthropic, not as much as we would really like to be, but we are not filthy rich. While we donate time, we don't donate to any human charities. We feel there is no excuse for mankind to be wanting when so much is there, but denied by the few. We donate monies to the animals. It isn't their fault when what we do affects them. However a rifle? That conversation can go on forever with no conclusion. Let me just say long ago Albert Einstein in a discussion about humanity said, "I don't know how world war three will be fought, but I know world war four will be fought with sticks, and stones". @Zach cash Idk, man, what about people like Duncan Lemp? Cops ended him over his 2A rights. I'm no leftist, but if they pass gun confiscation, the cops are the ones going to bust down your door to take them. Not all cops will do this, of course. A great many will refuse to disarm the people. But we've seen a good amount of red flag raids recently. And they were all carried out by police. I'm just saying be careful who you what forces you trust. The police are the direct link of the government to the people. Their job is to enforce the law without question. And that law can (and has) become tyrannical.

I spent 27 years in Law Enforcement before I retired, I trained with a variety of firearms and am a firearms instructor. You have to vote to protect your right to legally own the firearms you choose to own. Because the felons WILL have their firearms and if you let your rights be taken away by liberals politicians, you are left with only two choices. Illegally keep guns they ban and become a felon yourself, or be disarmed. I don't know about anyone else, but neither of those options appeals to me. So I will be voting for the candidates who support NO further legal restrictions on our Second Amendment rights. You all should too.

Among some other other policies including minors that are disgusting. The libertarian party is just a party of progressives trying to sound like the want freedom by saying that they want very, very little government regulation. The Republican party isn't progressive, and just wants a little less regulation than we currently have. Giving people more elbow room for economic growth.

I ESPECIALLY like the part about "individual responsibility". That is an EXTREMELY important tenet America has by and large forgotten. The fact that the 2nd Amendment Guarantees your right to own a firearm does not mean some should. You MUST be willing to accept RESPONSIBILITY for owning and using that firearm, and TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY to LEARN HOW to use it, PROPERLY and with EFFICIENCY and SAFETY!! Very well SAID Mr. Miculek!!
