The lower of the 2 drivers is NOT a passive radiator! They are both active midrange drivers. Polk's budget T-50 towers utilizes passive radiators, the Signature Series does not. I have S55s, S15s, and S20s (each pair in separate 2-channel systems), I'm very pleased with their sound! I have Polks from the Monitor, T-Series, RTiA, RT, and LSiM lines as well, and I think they really nailed it with the Signature Series line...affordable speakers that do not sound cheap!

Hello. I am planning for the same exact setup like yours except just 1 HTS 12 with Yamaha RX V6 AVR. Also what do you think of the Q Acoustics 3050i floor standing speakers? I auditioned them and i liked them. Confused between Polk & Q Acoustics. Also, I have a very big room. It is 26 feet in length and 12 feet wide. So will S55 / QA 3050i be enough for this dimension of a room?
@ElitistReviews
3 жыл бұрын
So the problem with Q Acoustics 3050i is that they are backported meaning you have to keep a good distance from the wall in order to reduce the boomy and maintain clarity while Polk S55 has a down-firing port with "power port" tech so you can place them anywhere. I would suggest looking into KEF Q550 they are sealed towers and sounds excellent. Just go to your local ProFX shop and try them out, cheers...
