Thanks. Since the big deal with this new model is the audio fence technology, I wish you did a demo of how well it cancels out background noise (on the mic).

How well does it work when using the 3.5mm headphone jack with an iPhone/Android?

The mic is noise canceling, the headset is passive noise cancelling. Active noise cancelling (ANC) headsets are a higher price level. A Blackwire 7225 has active noise canceling.

Is the active noise cancelling feature specific for hearing the audio from the headphones? And nothing to do with canceling the background noise for the microphone? Sorry I don't understand all this tech stuff. But want to know the difference. What's important for me is just those in zoom class hearing me well without background noise. But if I hear some noise through the headphones it's ok for me

I have heard that the Noice Cancellation mechanism is built in the socket (from where we can disconnect the 3.5 mm jack) and not in the mic itself, is it true? So if you use the same "Plantronics Blackwire 5220 USB" using it 3.5mm jack, the noise cancellation on the mic will not work? have you tried it, please let me know?

Unfortunately, I am not sure about that design. I might be able to give that a try at a later date.

Good question and one that I am hoping to find out. But judging from my quick research, I presume noise cancellation will not work using only the 3.5mm jack.

I just came to watch this video because I just started a work from home call centre job. Does the mute button close sounds from your home like a baby making noise in the background?
@ExpertOfThings
Жыл бұрын
Mute button simply mutes all sound from being transmitted during the call, including your voice. The mute button does not selectively block out background noise.

Since it is a USB-C headset, yes, you can plug it into a USB-C port on the IP phome.

is the cable removable on the headphone side?
@ExpertOfThings

No. It is a wired headset, so the cable is built in.
