I totally agree re the vintage mode, it's very subtle. The Summit will go way into very wonky almost discordant territory with the Drift & Divergence parameters, not always desirable but great to have the range IMO. From a sound designer perspective I far prefer having the option to push parameters outside of what would normally be considered comfortable/pleasant/acceptable.

I wonder how far they can potentially push vintage mode on PolyBrute. I mean you can always route LFOs and EGs for additional drift etc., but it would be nice to have a more drastic (and less predictable) option.

The vintage accuracy perceived intensity depends on the patch used. Generally short plucky sounds are not ideal to show the effects. And in case you don’t know, you can achieve the same effects and make it more intense by using the voice modulation source applied in various intensity to pitch, waveform, PWM, filter cutoff, filter resonance, envelopes attack, envelopes decay, envelopes release etc. This introduces per voice cards differences like vintage synths have.

You can use the voices modulation source with whatever setting you like which can really help more random wonk if you need it, I think the vintage mode really helps getting half way there without as much tweaking

You can still dial in that vintage ‘accuracy‘ in the matrix as extremely as you like it. This was necessary anyway before 2.0.

Not really. Vintage accuracy lets individual oscillators (not voices) drift over time and randomly re-tunes them with every note trigger. I don't see how you would achieve that with the mod matrix, but please let me know if I am missing something here.
