I absolutely loved watching this. Thank you. Being new to this, I have more leftovers than I like to think about. I felt better when I saw the beauty of these. Great video!

I used this idea once to make a swirl or spiral cane. I took a stroppel cane, reduced it to have thin layers, and rolled it into kind of a jelly roll, with flatter ends to create a spiral. It was quite satisfying. Just a thought on future tutorial ideas :)

Great tutorial Jessama ... I've watched a few of your tuts, and have a question. What's the best way to store canes like this. How long are they good for? (before too hard) How do you then use them in beads? I'm fairly new to PC and canes really fascinate me. Thank you Kent

I like to store them in compatible plastic bags. They keep for around a year depending on how soft your clay was to start with. Here are some tutorials on how I use my canes. kzitem.info/news/bejne/0KWhsXihnmtprHY kzitem.info/news/bejne/lquK16Zmm4WglKw

Kent mosley I keep my canes in compartment containers. One cane I have in there that’s well over a year old and it’s still durable.

It almost looks like stained glass. I love the blue. It puts me in mind of "The Starry Night" by Van Gogh. Have you ever tried to recreate a work like that in polymer clay?

No I haven't tried to recreate a work like that yet. I do plan to, but I don't feel that I'm quite ready for that yet. I do have a tutorial that was inspired by The Starry Night Painting though. www.jessamatutorials.com/polymer-clay-technique-2.html
