@@ryanlarrabee9811 I'm not suggesting I'm flat out repeating what former rappers have said. Hell, I don't even condone the practice because it turned into an art. Rap has represented itself in so many innovative ways, it has truly impressed me. This isn't Polyphia (feat. $not) Its $not (feat Polyphia) Obviously people enjoy the song, that cannot be denied. Also the contributing artists are completely free to do whatever they want. I dont want to stifle innovation. I just dont think this song is a good example of boosting rap. Since Polyphia is so rhythmic I almost expect a "dueling and harmonized" blend of a song with a rapper lyrically mirroring Polyphia's rythym as it slowly blended into fusion. To be absolutely fair the song featuring the more Pop Artist kind of took center stage as well, but I feel it blended better. All of this is just my personal opinion, im not trying to die on any hill.

I understand why a lot of people think polyphia has hit their peak. They think that the boys are just gonna produce rap and pop music for the rest of their career. But here’s the thing - anything that Polyphia gets behind is already better than 90% of what’s trending. As a member of Gen Z, I hate rap music, but this song had some of the most refreshing and musically interesting phrasing I’ve ever heard. The licks that follow the vocals, the wide open mix, and the push/pull of the band - it follows the rap perfectly. Snot might not be the best rapper out there, but Tim and the boys made one hell of a song out of his work. If rap music is like this in the future, I might actually get with it.
