According to Sophia, Tim played that long riff for her and as she does, she counted the notes before writing lyrics. She noticed it was 26 notes matching the alphabet and the theme for the song was born.

As of now their newest album has at least half the songs with guest vocals and it proves how flexible their style is. They has rappers, metal singers, pop and hip hop singers, hell they even have a full brass band on one or two tracks. I can't get over them working with Chino Moreno from Deftones as he is one of my all time favorite singers. ABC is an incredible song and Sophia's blend of Pop, Hip Hop, and Japanese influences just fits so well, not to mention she just has this adorable, endearing air about her.

There have been a few songs of Polyphia with vocals before but this is definitely the one with the MOST vocals as they permeates the entire song. This song was weird for me because it was such a shock when I first heard it I just couldn't fully process it all but I will say that after taking a break from listening to it and then coming back again later it's kind of grown on me a bit.

Great reaction! I absolutely love this song because of how different it is. I was supposed to see them live last Friday, but unfortunately Clay A., the drummer, broke his collarbone and needs surgery. They offered refunds, but they also said they'd reschedule as soon as possible and would honor all tickets and that they would try to put on an extra good show for those who waited. Plus, it'll be in their hometown area of Fort Worth, Texas, so I'm really looking forward to it!

This song won me over to Polyphia, it's so cutting edge fresh that purist metalheads all feel like Tim Henson is trolling them lately .... first he went acoustic, now he's writing Japanese Future Pop songs that sound as good as if not better than anything on the radio. Reminds me of the initial reaction Babymetal seemed to get, some people just can't digest music that isn't familiar to them.

@@bobcieslinski Awesome and they will not disappoint. Some factors to consider when you watch: 1. They are a heavy metal band; no other metal band can do this...imo. They do mostly power and thrash metal and their thrash is as good as the Big 4, if not better. Keep that in mind...they are THAT diverse and talented. 2. Considering they are recently formed (2016), tightest band you'll ever see and this song is of course live. Being in sync at the picking speed they use with the drum / bass (rhythm section / pocket) is ridiculous. 3. English is the vocalist's 2nd language, pretty damn good (imagine yourself singing a full song in Japanese) 4. They have 2 lead guitarists, Midori & Miyako, who are frequently compared to Downing / Tipton (Priest), Smith / Murray (Maiden), Allman / Beck, Thin Lizzy, etc...after just 6yrs together. Easily the best duo currently in the genre, their harmonizing is unparalleled (you'll see that in all of their songs). 5. The drummer, Haruna, is 4' 9"...listen to the pace she keeps the entire song. Never missing a beat; her double bass and stamina are out of this world for her size. 6. This is an 8min song...remember that; fastest 8mins I've ever endured. 7. MIYAKO aka the Golden Touch, guitarist / pianist / keytar...didn't learn guitar until 18yrs old. She is a virtuoso, lightning in a bottle. Chopin's pieces are supposedly extremely tough to play...just watch, especially that left hand. 8. I'm scratching the surface about this out of this world talented band, fellow Wolfpack (fanbase) will invade your channel once you react and provide the entire biography of the band and why this song. 9. This song is 1 of the Big 3 (epic masterpieces), will provide the other 2 if your interest is piqued following this one. 10. The outfits - they are very small so white helps them stand out and they wanted to defy the heavy metal stereotype - dark clothing, tattoos, etc. I'm not a musician and don't pretend to be an expert. I've listened to metal 35+ years and have seen many concerts. I have NEVER seen anyone as technically skilled with their instruments than these ladies. Enjoy. 😀
