Hello Polyphonic Overtone Singers! Today I am sharing the first lesson in the beginners series on overtones and tongue placement. I will go step-by-step into how you can create an overtone through tongue placement on the roof of the mouth.
What is Polyphonic singing?
Polyphonic singing is a type of overtone singing, whereby you produce two or multiple notes at the same time. I was inspired by Mongolian throat singing, then soon after came across Polyphonic singing (a western form of overtone singing) and it is a form of meditation for me to connect to my own voice, animals and nature.
