Thank you very much for the great testing, it was very challenging for us to formulate a stronger version of the PolyTerra PLA formula, we would still recommend going for our other PLA formulas for mechanical use however our PolyTerra line of products can still be interesting for non mechanical parts or PLA+ for small fun gadgets. Thank you again Igor, we learned a lot from it.

Igor does the best testing on the internet. He's a machine. Send him some nylon next!

I already tested their nylons. One important thing I will do with them, annealing. Some tests will be repeated.

@@MyTechFun Polymaker have a new nylon, it's a PA6 / PA12 mix. It should have better moisture resistance. Would be interesting to see how it compares to their other nylons.

Igor indeed does the best tests (a hook, real world test like CNC kitchen does could also be interesting), the problem is he gets too few subscribers and views to remunerate the huge time investment.

Love PolyTerra, the colors are so amazing, have had zero issues. Just ordered a bunch more. Just wish there were a bit more color options, but other than that, man this stuff is amazing. And thank you for putting this useful video showing us the strengths and more for this filament. Loved the results and charts.

To do a test you should really use both in the same colour because colour can make a difference to the final result as the colour pigments can and do make a difference to the chemical make up of the filament, PLA Blue PLA+ Blue.

Now just need to test it again their newew PolyLite PLA Pro which they claim has a higher imoact strength than ABS. Below is from their Amazon description. The price varies depending on color but black is 25 US for 1KG so still pretty price competitive. All I can say is it orints very well although I find it does better at 210°C instead if 200°C for the nozzle temperature. I watched another video where someone tested every filament and surprisingly PLA beat out CF nylon regardless newton for e before breaking. Maybe it was what he tested as he did 2 prints of the same thing and each one broke in the same place regardless of filement used showing that was the obvious week spot so this test was more thorough. The other video was testing many more materiels so that makes sense but still not conclusive evidence but obviously PLA is easier and cheaper to print than any other filement. Obviously it still has its weaknesses like exposure to heat. From Polymaker Amazon description: Polymaker PolyLite PLA PRO is a toughness enhanced PLA filament which has even higher impact strength than regular ABS. At the same time, it also features a 1.6 times of rigidity as other toughness enhanced PLA filament 1.75mm. The excellent combination of toughness and stiffness is a real breakthrough for this 3D printer filament industry, making it perfect for mechanically demanding applications

Hi, concerning the shear test, could you please make a video about the shear strength between layers, to compare with layer adhesion? Sometimes we have to choose print orientation to pick between having a strong force as tensile between layers, or shear between layers.

i hate the fact that they use cardboard spools. They are so bad quality I prefer respooling or using spool adapters. I wish they sold with good, even durable spools.

I have yet to find any PLA+ that doesn't fail, break or look like crap when used.
