In this video we discuss the differences between polyurethane and nitrocellulose lacquer, specifically as they apply to guitar finishing.
Remember that nitrocellulose is a more difficult finish to work with and takes longer to complete, but it is a beautiful finish that goes on nice and thin and has a nice feel to it. Polyurethane is easier to work with and more durable, but it basically becomes plastic when it cures, so the feel of it is different.
