@kagenou6833
2 жыл бұрын
@@TheAdventurerAndDiscoverer based on my own interpretation it means the harder to spot the lie the deeper you trust the liar. More trust means the love is stronger. It can also mean that the lie is meaningful and not just outright harmful or for no reason, whitelie if you will. In this case, based on how the lie is done you can tell how much your parents love you :)
@yongshuchen7866
Жыл бұрын
@@TheAdventurerAndDiscoverer Well-intentioned deceptions are meant to keep children from worrying about them. The more truthful the lie, the more it shows how much parents want their children to pursue their lives with confidence, and they don't want to be a burden to their children, either psychologically or in life!

I usually don’t cry at a lot of these experiments and usually feel more empathy. But this one really hit home. My parents sacrificed buying their own home in order to give me a great opportunity for an education while living in the hood. I never knew about the money struggles until I was 5 or 6. After learning about these things, I had to grow up at an early age by understanding what we could and couldn’t afford. When my parents finally bought their own home when I was 25, I cried thinking of their biggest accomplishment. Then they cried when I bought mine with my husband before I was 30. I told them “my success is your success because I would have nothing without you”. Now I try to give everything I can to my parents whenever I see them.

My parents are like this too, they only share their struggles in hindsight when hard times ate over.. It goes the other way around too. I've seen many exchange students pretend they have a good time, good food, a good job and many friends, but in reality struggle in every aspect. My heart goes out to everyone who's taking care of their closest people in their own way, but remember that family is there to help you if you cannot keep it up. I just wish syndicates or any bad people out there to stop using them. Me and my friend got scammed helping an old man when I was just 14. I lost the phone my sister worked so hard just to give me a gift and I got traumatized for years. And when I was recovering with that memory when I was 20, I almost got scammed again one time when I tried helping an elderly woman. Good thing my sister is really sharp with these kind of situations. She told me that if I wanted to continue living in this place, I have to stay firm and not be too kind. So, I sometimes hesitate helping people because of these experiences. :(

I’ve seen so many Chinese parents doing this when I was in China, I remember once I went to Macdonald’s to have my lunch and there I saw a family of 3, the mother, father and their young daughter. By looking at them I could see that they couldn’t afford to eat in Macdonald’s but still they bought their daughter burger, coke, fries and ice cream. And they were just looking at her while she was enjoying her meal. I was so touched by that incident and I immediately called my mom. Some parents do this, and some children do this too. I don't tell my family know I'm about to fail two of my classes because it embarrasses me, and I know they're helping me pay for college. So I just say I'm doing well and when I lie I feel so ashamed of myself. I also have no friends and I'm always alone in college, but I tell them I have friends, so they don't worry I'm alone. Kids have it hard too

I would be upset if someone told me that this is not real kindness, but just a production for a video.

i think it is real tho, they disclosed faces of some ppl which means they needed to permission to even show the faces at all. Respecting the privacy in the video is a must.
