Homeowners allege that contracted for home remodeling services and discontinued work before the project was complete. TC Cole owner of Faith and Grace Home Improvement LLC 30 Redwood Drive Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Owner Teair Cole AKA TC Cole.
Homeowners have verified payment receipts of $125,640 for home remodeling services where materials were paid for, but not all ordered (Granite Countertops, Lighting, Bathroom Accessories). All work completed was unsupervised by untrained workers and of such poor quality that it caused significant damage to homeowners existing property requiring a re-do by more experienced licensed contractors. From Jan 15, 2024 to present day July 5, 2024 the homeowner has been without electricity upstairs or a working kitchen, bathroom or laundry room. Damages are still growing and include, but not limited t
o Bathroom home remodeling plumbing leaks caused damage to flooring and downstairs ceiling.
o Shower tile flooring was installed with no waterproof membrane or tub and improper drain plumbing.
o Bathroom tile installed with little to no mortar causing pieces to fall off.
o Kitchen cabinets installed with flat nail heads which would have broken free from the walls under the weight of dishes. Some cabinets installed upside down and in the wrong location. Some cabinet materials delivered incorrect and incomplete with no inventory or notification of Lowes for correction. All cabinets were installed without leveling and would not allow for light rail to be installed.
o Granite Countertops homeowner paid TC Cole for materials and installation. Homeowner was told all materials were purchased (audio recording) and unaware that granite countertops that TC Cole help select from Lowes at the start of the project, were never ordered. Homeowner incurred additional time delay and expense that delayed install from Jan, 2024 to June, 2025. This is evidence that TC never planned to finish the work.
o Fire Hazard with exposed wood at fireplace remodel - Framed out wood supports with improper fire shielding required by the building code. The condition would have created a house fire according to certified fire insert technician, who was paid by separate invoice after Faith & Grace Home Improvement refused to complete the project. Damaged electrical wiring on existing fireplace insert and covered it blue painters tape.
o Kitchen tile installed and left unprotected around March 2024. Mortar not properly applied so, as of July 5, 2024 there are 7 visible cracks. The entire flooring will need to be replaced.
o Insufficient Carpeting it was ordered, but left incomplete sitting in homeowner garage for 4 months. After Faith & Grace Home Improvement refused to complete the project after accepting payment for materials and installation. Homeowner contacted two separate Lowes installers who rejected the install project because of improper measurements creating poor quality seams and not enough carpet to complete the work. A third contractor was finally hired, but poor seam placement could not be averted so life of the carpet is reduced.
o Jet Tub Framing installed too narrow for tub. Plumbing leaks created water spots on downstairs ceiling. Framing had to be torn out and re-installed by another contractor.
o Full garage of trash and debris was left when Faith and Grace Home Improvement stopped paying dumpster services.
o Kitchen Pantry & Doors - completely left undone. No progress made. Materials paid for.
o Sloppy, Unskilled Labor installed all trim unlevel and uneven requiring reinstall and major repair for painting and finish work.
o Unskilled labor damaged and did not protect other work, appliances and keepsakes. the most hurtful to homeowner was a concrete tree stump statue from deceased parents’ garden left with permanent paint stains where workers washed out buckets. TC Cole’s unsupervised and unskilled workers Splattered paint all over a new patio which will need to be stripped and restained. Faith N Grace did not protect newly installed windows and the existing door to the garage. Homeowners still trying to clean up the many, many spots, spackles, dings and complete lack of property consideration by Faith and Grace workers.
