Yes she did. I wouldn't consider that SNL skit " I'll sing the same song forever" skit an honor at all though. She could have been as successful as Mariah and Whitney, but I guess when you fall prey to unscrupulous record industry types, that alone can help wreck a career.
@VeeFoster
Жыл бұрын
I agree. it's so unfair that after she won the Oscar, more opportunities didn't come hee way, and we never heard much about her after the '80s. She should've been just as successful as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

Rest in Peace dearest Irene. I attended Music & Art in the late 60's-early 70's. Many of us who were school mates then, are still in tough today, & enjoy sharing stories of our times there. I can't help think how you (tho not an actual student there or at Performing Arts) would have been such a perfect & natural fit with us every morning when we all met in the auditorium for some catching up before going off to our classes. My (our) condolences to your family, friends & fans all around the world. Que Dios te tenga en su Gloria - you are loved & will be missed ❤🙏

Such an amazing biography for an amazingly talented artist! Is there a part 3 posted somewhere by chance? I know you've stated that there were copyright issues in the past with that part of this series and had it on your website but that link is broken. Is it possibly available to watch anywhere else? Patreon, Vimeo or Dailymotion? This is just so fantastic!! 😊👍👍👍
