How high do you keep the humidity in the dry area? I NEVER see anything about humidity. What is considered dry for isopods? Or does it not matter as long as the substrate is dry?
@SupremeGecko

I don't measure humidity at all. As long as @ 70% of the enclosure is bone dry, you are good.

Porcellio boliveri are one of my favorites and definitely a 👑 I have a few and lost a couple I have some coming in any tips on how you keep yours and I heard they like a bigger enclosure because the males can bully other males and stress females and gravid females and basically stress them to death , I'll keep it dry with a wet corner and deep sphagnum moss that stays moist I'll definitely add some egg cartons for them to hide in as well to allow more surface space !

Whoa they are beautiful! Been gearing up to eventually try my first spanish species, but it's intimidating. Losing $100 worth of pods isn't something I want to do on my college budget haha! Unrelated question: What species of springtails do you use? They look beefier than Folsomia candida.

If I could suggest- go with P. hoffmannseggi first. It's a great 'bridge' species. If you don't get them from, there are other good breeders that carry this wonderful isopod. Honestly, I don't know. They came with my first culture, and are now in probably every one! They go nuts.
