I want to thank you so much for putting out such fantastic content! Every recipe of yours that I've tried has been so delicious and I can't wait to make like every one of them! I really appreciate when recipes are kind of foolproof and just work well, because not all of them do, and I definitely trust your opinion. You don't mess around. But what keeps me coming back to your videos is also the gorgeous cinematography, and most importantly, the joy and good energy that you have. The recipe calls for 1 yellow chilli... what type of chilli is that? I'm new to cooking. Is there one type of chilli that is just considered to be the "base" chilli or standard chilli?
@WhoaNick
5 жыл бұрын
C P Late reply here. They used a Thai Chili in the video, which can be found in an asian supermarket. They’re pretty strong chilis so it’s best to use only 1 for an entire entree portion. The type of chili depends on what kind of cuisine you’re cooking; for example, jalapeños or Serrano peppers for South American or Spanish dishes. Thai chili for Southeast asian dishes.

I grow holy basil JUST for this dish. This dish is sublime. I usually use beef but pork belly looks even more amazing. I will be trying that next time. I was taught how to prepare this by a Thai national and this recipe is spot on accurate. As far as I understand this dish was invented in Thailand by Chinese immigrants hence the Chinese influenced flavors. I always had my favorite Thai dishes such as laarb gai or tom kha goong but when I discovered this dish it knocked those off the top. Fat rice noodles, spiciness, green vegetables, GARLIC! Stick a fork in me. I'm done. And you don't even need to be suffering from a hangover, but it helps.

Hello dear Marion, As a very enthusiastic Lover of Thai dishes and Asian Food I am following you for quite a while already. I had been to Thailand and other Asian Countries very often and so I am quite familiar with spices and greens the Asian kitchen asks for. So meanwhile I tried some of your recipes and I really must admit…..this is absolute authentic Food you are presenting. My Last dish i prepared was the Pork Drunken Noodles which was incredibly delicious but i used chicken thighs instead of pork. So i decided to order your New cookbook few weeks ago and cant wait to hold it in my hands. Does it arrive before Christmas because i live in Germany? Would be fantastic if it does! Well, i also love the funny way how you present your dishes very much even together with your Mum Noi. She is absolutely hilarious. Well, Marion, this is all i wanted to mention at the moment, far away to you either in Thailand or in Australia. Two countries i love very much. Keep well and stay healthy in These Hard times. Kindest wishes from Germany Uwe
