Early Porsche 911 and 912 owners I will tear down the front suspension in my 1967 Porsche 912 Outlaw. This video will show you how to remove the wheel hub, the struts, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar bushings and drop links, along with removing the brake calipers.
This is part 1 of a series on rebuilding the front end of a classic Porsche 901 (911 912), part 2 will go over what parts can be cleaned up and reused, and what parts need to be replaced when doing this job. In part 3 you'll learn how to remove wheel bearings and races and install new ones into the hub of your car along with how to correctly install the hub back onto the front suspension. In part 4 you'll see how to do a front brake caliper rebuild on a classic Porsche 901 911 912 with new rubber seals, and a refresh of the outside of the caliper. Last, in part 5, you'll learn how to reinstall everything and get a classic Porsche 901 911 912 back on the road.
