Love it. I’d probably keep the fiberglass though, especially going for a 2.7 homage. These cars like to be light. The more weight you can save, the better

Great to see this car again. I remember looking at it, and driving it, back in 2013 when it had a big orange stripe down the middle. The current owner has done a fantastic job "fixing" it.

You can take the headlights off take it apart and clean the insides, upgrade the head lights with Bergville HID set ups and you are good to go. One thing you will want to do is check what version light suits your car, this is crucial. Lovely car by the way.

Nice 911 but it is not and SC. SC Production run was 1979-1983. They came with a 3.0 liter engine with Bosch K-Jetronic Fuel injection. This is a first generation 911 Carrera 3.2. The displacement was bumped up to 3.2 and the injection was replaced with the Porsche designed Motronic Fuel injection. They had/have more efficient air flow because of the Motronic intake manifold, The orange bits of your engine. The fuel was more precisely injected into the manifold at each tube during the intake cycle of each cylinder. This was the precursor to direct injection. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_911

Lovely car, good luck with your project. I’m in the same shoe albeit a 993. Working on the interior as well, though focus is to shed weight sort of like the 964 lightweight but still very pretty on the inside. 😁

Very cool looking old school Porsche. Does seem if you do tasteful mods to these Porsches the value will increase. Just curious what you think this 911 value would be in the USA if you had to guess?

How is the alcantara going to wear on the door? I thought about it, but being a high touch area I was concerned about the wear.
@OutlawGarage
4 жыл бұрын
Its a reasonable point but I think as its at the top of the door I don't think it will get the hight wear like the door card, I think.
@jasonciccolallo4757
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, it was something I did think about but I think it will wear fine in that it is not a high wear area and the car isn't being used a lot. It is also a confined area, so very easy to refresh if required.
