With the amount of silt / fine grain sand that was visible in the intakes to the turbys I would do a partial tear down just for inspection/cleaning atleast But you know what opinions are like right?😂😂👊

Wow I was impressed with how clean the water was, it looked like when you dump a hot water tank it runs ringing clear until the sediment starts flowing, in this case the oil , but agree that oil looked caramel so I bet that engine will eventually be ok if the rings and seals aren’t shot.. it cranked so that’s a good sign.. I was thinking seized when you were turning the belt but crank pulley showed no movement.. serpentine belt just slipping.. great documentary on that 911 hope you guys get er humming

Never, ever buy a flood car; doesn't matter, salt water or fresh water. There are so many unforeseen problems and so many things that can crop up in the electrical system 2 or 3 years later, even if the car only had water just above floor level. I know there are loads of people with KZitem channels saying this is a great way to find a supercar for cheap, but there is a reason insurance companies total these cars. I built racing engines and was sponsored by a major manufacturer, so I'm not just guessing. I am a Porsche fan, so seeing the condition of this engine is painful.

Wow! Excited to see how this thing turns out. Don’t you need to clean all the water out before you start it?

Cleaned the maf & map sensor and checked the plugs agian, but the same damn problem.black smoke and gasoline fume.. Going to buy a diagnostic tool soon so i can read the mixture. I’ve already got some 2.0t rich videos, seems like you’re slackin. I try not to get involved with all the online questions about cars because it doesn’t pay the bills and I like to work on cars in person, too many variables to get into a back and forth most of the time

WD-40 does not absorb water, it just displaces it. The best way to get the last water out of the engine, IF it's running, is probably just to run it with the oil cap off and steam it out.

Don't forget to drain out the oil tank. That is a dry sump engine.

I guess we can see that these guys realize they shouldn't have bought this 911. No videos of it running and driving? Hope it went to the right people to fix it or part it out

There actually is a video of it running and it’s not hard to replace control modules but good luck finding them all from the same car for a 997.2 turbo. Keep watching though, it’s already happening just wasn’t a priority when the guy that purchased it already has a built 1000hp 997.2 sitting in the garage and it’s pointless buying a budget build flood car if you’re trying to spend retail on everything. When you have multiple businesses to run cars are not on the top of the list. Not me, I’m not the owner just a guy that helps occasionally

You’re asking for a miracle if you think that engine is good inside. And oh, by the way, miracles don’t happen for flood cars!
