It's time for the first Porsche 993 engine drop ever done on my 1995 Porsche 993 911 Coupe.
My Porsche 993 has 102,000 miles on it and needs a new clutch. In order to get that job done, my air cooled mechanic needed to perform a Porsche 993 engine drop procedure.
In this video, I take you along with me as I view the 3.6 flat six engine out of the car and listen to some information my mechanic shares with me about my Porsche 993 engine condition and the process in general he follows to perform a Porsche 993 engine drop.

Based on what I learn about the condition of the car, I will have no problems with spending money continue to modify my Porsche 993 911. What I mean by that is I have a good, clean and most likely problem-free 993 Coupe and because its a great example, I have a solid platform and will continue to mod and change it without worries that it will have significant issues.
Bottomline, I don’t want to pour a lot of money into a car that’s going to have ongoing maintenance issues. So, it looks like I’m in the clear!

About My Channel:
Rennthusiast (formerly Bavarian Enthusiast TV) is for the most part a Porsche 911 channel centering on experiencing air cooled Porsches, but will also feature other vintage, analog vehicles I add to the collection. The channel is the result of my deep passion for air cooled Porsches, my interest in the air cooled Porsche community, my obsession with modding, improving, buying and selling cars in general and my desire to put myself out there on KZitem and share these passions with other enthusiasts.
As I continue to build this channel, I'll be adding more cars to the mix, and will likely branch out beyond the German sports car genre as is the case with this video. Why? Because I LOVE cool collector cars and as my interests morph and change, so will this channel.
As of the date of this video, the collection includes a 1995 Porsche 911 993 Coupe, a 1986 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe, a 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo, a 2000 Toyota Landcruiser and....a 1993 Toyota Landcruiser FZJ80 (no they're not German but they've been bucket list vehicles for me so they're now in the collection).
Please subscribe to my channel.
