I put fabspeed everything from the intake to the tips and everything in between on my 40 year anniversary 996. Fit, finish, sound and power gains blew my expectations out of the water. My car was N/A it sounded like it was sucking the asphalt off the ground. Induction sounds were insane. I also did the IPD plenum. I’m made 356 whp 332 TQ. One of my favorite cars. Fabspeed will not disappoint.

DId you do a before and after dyno? Watch some of the genuine before and after comparisons on KZitem and you will find that fabspeed is a waste of $.

@@cedergrenpeter I did and I disagree. It’s not JUST the performance gains for me, their quality at the price point is bar none in my opinion.

@@cedergrenpeter agree 100% with you. All that this is a high dollar dress up kit. Without a proper tune along with it, you're NOT gaining or making ANY additional power! What you are doing is making a very nice induction noise which makes it seem as if you've gained more power because your foot is going deeper into the pedal, causing you to lose mpg. About the best mod you can do to this car as far as cost EFFECTIVENESS is the muffler and intake resonator delete with a K&N filter. You'll drop weight and immediately notice it and your engine temps will dissipate slightly better, because of the lack of additional heat from the mufflers and increased airflow to the engine. The downfall is it wont sound nowhere near as nice as this setup because bypass pipes on a flat 6 sound horrible even with the intake res delete.

How does that heat shield do anything? The air inside an engine compartment is very hot, thus less dense. The stock air intake pulls in air from outside the engine compartment, which is much cooler and thus denser. My thought is that the heat shield is more to give the impression it is doing something. Yes, carbon fiber has low heat conduction characteristics, but those air intakes are not fully sealed off. I would be very curious to do a temperature reading behind the heat shield compared to in front of the heat shield. My guess is the readings would be the same.

Fab Speed claims HP increases, provides a dyno chart. Maybe they’re tuning for it - we can’t prove a negative (that they don’t tune). Some shops run dynos and claim a loss. Really, with an intake you’re getting induction sound which is amazing. Keep in mind air flow in the engine. The air enters from the top on the duck tail, right into the cone filter. The divider directs the hotter air away but it doesn’t need to be perfect, neither is the OEM box. If you want more power, buy a turbo or get a different car. Precious little can really be done to an NA engine without blowing thousands

Can y’all start posting Dyno results after each install before and after?

Are you kidding me? And show that their mods don't do anything worthwhile? No, then no one would buy them. Check out this clip and see real comparisons: kzitem.info/news/bejne/zplvyWRtqnWmfo4

way too expensive just for a sound modifier. The install vid skips steps or jump cuts to steps already completed. Install vids should be step by step with close ups so we can see exactly how the disassembly and assembly is done. id reshoot this vid. The installer jumped ahead and blew through the install steps and the camera man looked like he was always a few steps behind in filming it
