I meet the Porsche Macan again, but this time I decided to check the base (apparently) version with a 2.0 engine with 265 hp. To be honest, I was very concerned about this test. I was afraid that my hero, probably the favorite crossover on the market, would not live up to expectations and would be overshadowed by more powerful versions with 3.0 V6 under the hood. Besides, I was reading complaints and complaints, so when I picked up the car from the Porsche showroom, I was in a rather bad mood. Briefly.
Well, for the GTS or even the S, this basic version has no start, of course in terms of performance and emotions. During the GTS test, I had a huge banana on my face almost all the time. Sound, driving, reaction to gas, etc. Simply a fairy tale. It is definitely slower and calmer here, but my version had really additions almost to the stop, so it stood out from the GTS mainly in terms of handling. Suspension, handling, steering - certainly not as precise as in the stronger version, but still in a class of its own. Simply perfection.
If someone says that a Macan with a base engine is a Tiguan, but more expensive and in a premium version, he is simply an uninformed, automotive arrogant. I have the impression that Porsche has got everything possible from this drive. Even placing the engine longitudinally instead of transversely in "ordinary" cars resulted in a fantastic balance. The power of 265 KM seems to be just complete - all horses are healthy and give absolutely their best. I drove cars of similar power and I had the impression that half of those junks had escaped into the field.
I could write for a long time and I will definitely write in written tests, among others on motofakty.pl and superauto.pl, but in a word of summary. If someone is looking for more excitement, target the S or GTS variant. I would take S-ka - it is optimal. It's fast and fun here too, but the 2.0 R4 can't match the 3.0 V6. 265 HP and 400 Nm of torque are sufficient values, but in Porsche the word "sufficient" somehow does not fit. In terms of prices, we start from PLN 273,000, but let's face it - who leaves the Porsche showroom at the base?
