Silicone spray on the tires will help with the dry rot. It’ll moisturize them and give ‘em a nice sheen

I remember having rc’s that took those c cell batteries. Like you said , they were very short lived and I was super happy when ni-cads came out. Really nice vintage Tamiyas bro!💯👊🏼😎

Very cool fella, you have some great historic Tamiya's there..... superb to have on the shelf/preserve for future generations. Tamiya brought out its first 'suitable for rc' kit the year I was born (1977)......and I started getting into the hobby around the era of the blackfoot/959 etc some 9 years on. So great to see in person some of those earlier releases. Love all the nostalgia, and thanks to channels like yours, and Keith at rc icons we get to learn more about these early models that helped build and direct the scene to what it is today. Lots of people are quick to hate on Tamiya, but with models like those porsches they really did create a whole new genre of hobby! Cheers for sharing fella. 👍 👍 👍

Thanks my friend. Really appreciate it. The early Tamiya cars are just amazing. It's really interesting to see how they went about stuffing that chassis under the scale model. Always appreciate the support.
