He didnt bounce back, he never went back. After he released his diss track, I thought it was unexpected since hes been in his mentor type phase for a while, doing his thing but also sitting back and guiding others. When he came out and said he regretted releasing it and he wanted out, I thought that was more in line with who he is. The memes about him dodging a bullet cause he got out early are funny and all, but at the end of the day he's in a spot where hes making music he wants, helping other rappers with advice and sometimes features. Hoppin on songs that he connects with that trigger the artist in him. He never took a step back, he's a GOAT and will always be legendary.

I remember telling every & anyone who would listen that Cole was the truth & I wanted him to be successful so badly because his music had done so much for me & I could hear how hungry he was, so glad that he wasn’t overlooked & I have some other favorites that unfortunately didn’t have nearly as much success but I only mention that because I had such strong belief that Cole would make it. I’m 31 too & Cole’s still the truth, still can’t forget his “A Star Is Born” voice, knocked it out of the park!

I've always loved J.Cole & his music. It's hard for me because I equally feel the same about Kendrick. Listening to the music you get to step into their world and experience the pain and joy with them. Maybe even see through their eyes. All I know is that I appreciate these artists for who they are and the creativity they bring. I refuse to compare or judge them. It's all greatness, making a true genuine connection through your music. Getting to escape the world for few moments is definitely a blessing for me. 🫶
