Port Isaac Cornwall is portrayed as Port Wenn on the ITV television series Doc Martin. We will take a virtual walk through this small fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall. The village is also home to the sea-shanty singing group Fisherman's Friends.
Most of the old centre of the village consists of 18th and 19th Century cottages, many officially listed as of architectural or historic importance. The village has around 90 listed buildings (all Grade II)
Through the middle ages and up to the coming of the railways, Port Isaac was a thriving port serving the area inland.
Port Isaac's pier was constructed during the reign of Henry VIII.
One of the best surfing beaches in North Cornwall is Polzeath 4 miles away.
