would the clip not damage the screen of the macbook over time as the 12.9 ipad pro is quite heavy?

My iPad got too hot doing it the first way. I don’t have a case on it, though, so maybe that would help?

What keyboard and mouse do you use??? Does it matter on the Bluetooth type? My question is when using the bluetooth keyboard, that’s already connected and dual screening your laptop and iPad, can the Bluetooth mouse be used on your iPad? For an example, let’s say I’m getting a USB mouse and keyboard, but that can only plug into my laptop(without any extra extensions). Could that USB Bluetooth be used on my iPad as well? I think I made this more complicated than it actually is. But someone, PLEASE HELP I NEED TO KNOW ASAP FOR COLLEGE AND I CANT FIND ANY ANSWERS ANYWHERE 🥲

Hello James, Have you had any issues with the Mountie, I've read reviews and seen other KZitemrs comment that it has caused their laptop screen to crack. Being that you've been using the device for a while is this something you still recommend? Thank you in advance.

My rubber inserts stretched after over a year of ownership so my iPad slides right out after a few minutes, rendering the whole thing useless...

Nice, but why don't you just put the iPad on a tripod stand behind the MacBook? You can now get rid of external keyboard, trackpad and stand.

This is a great idea! Just tried it and it seems to work great, though the screens seem a bit far away and small. But yeah totally workable. Probably not something that I can use on a train but oh well.

2:20 is there a setting to use the iPad key aboard on your MacBook?

Yes! I love this setup. Totally recommend it. Cheaper elevated stands are also available that work just as well or perhaps better! I also recommend using an Apple mouse or trackpad as you will miss out on your swipe commands and the smooth scrolling with off-brand ones. Even the nice $100 mice like the Logitech MX Masters

Not entirely true. There are apps/scripts like xGestures that can bind these functions to your mouse by holding in the Scroll wheel for example. I recommend this way as the Apple mouse are absolutely horrible for ergonomics.
