Portland is a very foodie city. I lived there for twenty-six years until I moved to Arizona about a year ago. There’s a lot I don’t miss about Portland. I do miss the variety and quality of the food available. Even the grocery stores are better in Portland compared to Phoenix. I used to work down the street from the food cart pod. Everything there was fabulous. This video is obviously a few years old, because the pod was dispersed in favor of a hotel. Thanks, guys for the fond memories of good food.

Great video guys! Also, wanted to shout out Chester the editor! You are definitely improving, and I appreciate how you're holding back on adding too much in terms of sound effects and pictures. I could have sworn there was a time when Tim Shiba left and there were a bunch of different editors who were adding too much, and it took away from the Fung Bros.

I swear you guys would love “The Whole Enchilada” in Moss Landing in California. Their chips and salsa alone are addicting. Get their Steamed artichoke, the clam chowder, and the Grilled garlic prawns in Lobster Chipotle Cream sauce! Honestly everything there is delicious, especially their enchiladas! And then after that you can head up to Santa Cruz, 20 minutes north, and watch the surfers at Steamers Lane, then grab some fresh, all homemade food at “Gayle’s bakery” in Soquel. The garlic bread is made with their home baked artisan bread, then try their spinach Gorgonzola, and bbq sauce smothered grilled ribs!! There’s a cafe and bakery connected so you guys can grab a cappuccino and sit in on the live band in their dining area. It’s so bomb! I promise you guys would not be dissatisfied.

You guys gotta head out to the east side out on 82nd and hit up all the spots. That's our 626!! (more Vietnamese though) 82nd-- Ocean city, wong's king, HK cafe all have good dim sum. I like Ocean city the best. (all on 82nd except Wong's king. It's 5 blocks east on 87th) "So good taste" (on 82nd) has epic wonton noodle bowls with roasted duck, pork belly and hand made wontons. I like getting a whole duck from there. They're not the Big, hormone filled ducks. They're clean and delicious and done better then anywhere in town. There's also a "good taste" chinese restaurant in chinatown down town. Ha&VL (off 82nd) has 2 amazing soups everyday until they sell out. It's a Vietnamese bahn mi joint but the soups there are other worldly! They have to special soups for each day of the week. The pork pepper ball soup is the only one feature on 2 different days. the Curry chicken noodle is life changing. Pho Oregon (also on 82nd) has one of the best broths, THE most tender and flavorful meat and they have that grandma fried shallot umami chili stuff to go in your soup. Best Pho fo sho! There's also a Bun ba hue spot Called "Bun Bo Hue Restaurant" that's very legit. (on 82nd!!!!!!!!) Now there's some korean joints opening up out there, and there's some that's been there Like "So Kong Dong Tofu & BBQ" In the Fubon Vietnamese mall out there..............on 82nd. "Best Baguette" is a fast food Bahn Mi and bakery w/ a drive threw (and chocolate eclaires) and has like 10-12 bahn mi options. So cheap and good. New-- but there are some new spots like "XLB" (N Willaims) that are brand new and crushing it with the flavors, reasonable prices and with a clean "new restaurant" vibe. AND "DĀNWÈI CĀNTĪNG" too(SE Stark st). And his wife has a killer Sushi/Sake bar on NE Alberta St. called "Zilla Sake House" which is super legit. (and recently remodeled) (I've been a sushi chef for 16 years and have been strongly involved in Asian food and culture here in PDX so I like to think I know what's up) DOWNTOWN- Huong's has one of the best, and cheapest, Bahn Mi's in town. Especially downtown!! Nong's Khao man gai is the best dish there is. And they have a spot off burnside on the east side of the bridge besides the 2 spots downtown. It's around the corner from the Jupiter Hotel. Love the videos guys! You guys eat all the good stuff and I appreciate you helping people like me see where to go when we travel to these other cities! come back soon!!
