Rainmaker is easily my favorite Eurorack module. In many ways this is a good replica. The comb filter is missing but that is not critical because you can add it as an external module(s). Rainmaker has a fabulously flexible randomizer which should be added to Weather. That can be added in VCVRACK externally too, but with a lot of work. Great video, Omri. Thanks...

Yes, Rainmaker is an amazing module, indeed. I also really like the idea you can randomize only a selection of parameters with a push of a button or a trigger. It's fun!

What's making those plinky plonky noises? I see that input comes in from host and you have polyphony cables going in. Is that some external sound source? I ask becasue I've plugged microphones and my microkorg into VCV using the Audio 8 module, but I've never seen the host module. I to got this module, can't remember what I was looking for ring modulation modules and this monster turned up.

@OmriCohen-Music

Thanks! Well, it depends on the type of video but I prefer to use a smaller module in a case like this than a whole mixer. Also, it has VU meters, which is always nice to have with modules like Portland Weather.

How does the ping pong function affect the existing pan setting? Does it override it completely and send it full left or full right? Or does it use the existing pan settings somehow to calculate the new ones?
@OmriCohen-Music

That's a good question and I'm not so sure I know the answer to it. I will have to test this.

@@OmriCohen-Music - I patched a simple test for the ping pong on this module and found that it had absolutely no effect 🤷♂️. I tried it both with a single mono(L) input and with unique L & R inputs. In your video by the time you toggled the ping pong, there was already so much going on it was hard to tell if it even did anything. Let me know if you do get a chance to test it, I would love to know if mine is broken or if I'm just doing something wrong.

After update CPU usage is WAY down! I found that ping pong only seems to do anyting if you are applying some feedback even though the reverse toggle works without applying any feedback 🤷♂️
