We were fortunate enough to visit on sunny day and as soon we passed through the gates we felt as if we were transported to the Mediterranean.
Ice Cream Parlours, Cafes and even a Hog Roast greeted us, so you are immediately tempted by the smells and aura that the village omits.
Follow us as we venture through the village down past the hotel and head off on it’s famous Woodland trial. It is beautiful walk taking your past various stations such as the Chinese Lake, Dancing Tree and also the Dog Cemetery. This is what we were searching for and we did eventually find it!
Be mindful that the full walk will take in the region of 90 minutes and a lot of it is not pushchair or wheelchair friendly. But, the part that are fully accessible still allow everyone to take in the wonders of the local woods.
You can follow the trial around the woods and it will then bring you out to the bottom of the village next to the beautiful hotel. From which you can circumnavigate back up to the village.
You will see during our walk, the Welsh weather was very unpredictable, with rain showers being promised, but never appearing, resulting in us all being quite hot as we had all taken jackets.
This is an amazing place of complete beauty and awe, is a must for any visiting the area. We do recommend that you try and go when it is sunny and whatever you do, do not forget to take your camera as the view not just of the village are spectacular but also the views that stretch out across the bay
