Very late comment, I know :D Miles Davis once said about mistakes something in the lines of ' It is no biggie that you play a wrong note - what matters is the following note' I've been T-Mac fan since Maximum Security and if he ever plays a wrong note, which I haven't been able to hear, well he sure knows how to pick the best possible following note 😉

I wish more genres and the prog scene would treat it's classic songs and musicians like jazz musicians do. A ton of extremely skilled and nuanced players building on standards, and instead of arguing over who should and shouldn't play a song, we just listen. Judging by the comments we are becoming more open to that kind of thing.

No if's or but's, these guys are shredders. MacAlpine has a much more post-bop jazz sensibility than most metallers. To some ears this may not "rock as hard" as the more traditional harmonies. For me, a blazing lead that suddenly spreads out into a more alien harmony is like a coaster drop. It's great when they lock back into primal grooves.

T-Mac is literally the most underrated guitarist ever sometines I wonder he is not even been called by Satriani once for a G3 tour. Sheehan is always being the craziest bassist ever surpassing Levin and Myung both I must say Portnoy was literally on fire leading the whole group since both of them are his compositions The man who steal the show was Derek, OMG controlling four keyboards together with that god speed like Rudess and tuning some weirdest sounds ever like what Steve Vai do with his guitar

I think Tony likes playing piano too much honestly. That's a lot of touring. Not sure if Tony has ever toured like that!
