Nice! Seemed like you draw your model with such compassion and sensitivity. As a result, your drawing captured his mood and emotions beautifully, not only his physical appearance/ likeliness.

I agree with james, emotion and details are good. But the proportions are really off.

What are the tools you worked with, I do have a bunch of different types of charcoal but Ive never seen anybody work with this tiny piece, is it like a toothpick or a paintbrush or what exactly is it ?? and that huge piece of material I also havent seen that before?

Sarah Alam it looks like a blending stump. It's paper rolled into a tight stick. They come in different widths. Google - torchon and tortillon, but basically they are the same thing 😊

How do I mask certain areas from the charcoal. I want to keep a couple spots on my drawing as white as possible for contrast but we all know charcoal doesn't work like that. Any suggestions besides fixative spray?

good job. But you lack interest in more shadow areas. For example, the left side of the face lacks an increase in shadow

@Enea Bucchi There is a differnce between heading drawing and Potraiture , potratiure isnt about just getting 100% porpotions but to describe and show the subjects emotion and spirit in a unique way . Thats why every potrait artist have their own uniqie style of potraying a person.

The nose is a little long. Take a closer look on the left side of the face. I think you make the face long to accommodate for the extra big ears, or vice versa. Also look at the left jaw line, it doesn't come down that far. Overall it's okay but needs improvement. Keep trying.
