All I can say is, you all are awesome!!! I am a new hospice nurse and have not used these skills since before my basic nursing skills class on 2016. Great refresh!! This is actually better than what I learned back then.

Thank you so much and I’ll tell you what you have to go to our website www.thecareplan.net and by our booklet which distills 50 years of Hospice experience and teaches patient’s family and staff how to manage all the major symptoms you’re going to run across. Talk your Hospice into putting our booklet in every admission packet or winning awards. Brenda and I still work every day full-time at the bedside care is the ultimate treatment! Best wishes in your practice and thanks for your comments and support.

Please I would like to know how to pull up the patient when the body is slippery going down out of the pad ?
@TheHospiceCarePlan
3 жыл бұрын
Gladis, Make sure the turn sheet is low enough under the patient to have much of it under their butt. You may need to roll them onto another turn sheet - like a bath towel that isn't so slippery. Tip the patient upside down if you can by raising the knees high and the head low. Thanks for your question and good luck in your caregiving.

You two do things correctly. Sorry the younger nurses tend to drag rather than lift the patients. I’m not fully blaming them. We don’t teach like we used to and we don’t expect as much either
