The lyrics tell a disturbing story about two women being pursued by a cannibalistic man. The graphic imagery and themes of violence, fear, and captivity create a sense of unease for the listener.The combination of the lyrics, vocals, and music creates a dark and foreboding atmosphere that sticks with the listener long after the song is over. It's the kind of song that gets under your skin and leaves you feeling unsettled.

She is low key singing how stereotyped depictions of Native American people in 50's shows like Gunsmoke / Bonanza sang or spoke English. Which makes the whole thing seem a little off putting. Like is she mocking Natives because she is singing about cannibalism and cannibalism is primitive and thus something Native people do? Not a question to be answered but it is one evoked. Also she's def a LoriAnderson fan.

Not at all, the melody, cohesion with the film, and deliberate stilted and uncanniness of the song is indistinguishably human. You are confusing innovative stylistic choices with ai and that's kinda sad tbh
@nylomuller5222
3 ай бұрын
@@m.fraguelaxd2546 I disagree. When observed without the context of the film, it has an uncanny valley feeling to it. The low sound quality, plus the melody and the lyrics that sound nonsensical out of context, it does seem like it would be conceived of something that is not human, yet tries to emulate it. Also, these days music is not nearly as innovative, so ai is a strong contender in today's day and age
@m.fraguelaxd2546
3 ай бұрын
@@nylomuller5222 honestly I guess it is a matter of familiarity with the subject. I've listened to plenty of ai audio and the stiltedness and awkward voices in those feels way different to how it plays out here. I BITE AT THE HAND THAT FEEDS MEEE
@_oxKim_xo
Жыл бұрын
lyrics but in comments: [beginning] I bite at the hand that feeds me, Slap at the face that eats me! Some kind of aninal cannibal.. (Animal? Cannibal?) [instrumental break] [pre-chorus] How do i meet the stranges men? They always seem to find me.. Remember that time way back when i- kissed a guy who ate his women friends? Now many dogs will follow me! (is he following?) [chorus] I bite at the hand that feeds me, Slap at the face that eats me, some kind of animal cannibal.. Made impressions on me! have we met before? (Possibly in Michigan!) [end of chorus] In some strange department store.. (We wont see him anymore.) Who knows how some people turn to strange ones?.., is it up to me to make them into dead ones..? (here we go again!) [end chorus] I bite at the hand that feeds me, Slap at the face that eats me! Some kind of animal cannibal.. (Animal? Cannibal?) [end]

This song sounds like you got an eerie feeling when driving through the rural Midwest and all of the sudden it starts heavily raining. You’re driving up to Canada to visit your Grandparents but eventually you realize the rain doesn’t stop and you start seeing strange things outside. Then your whole family goes completely quiet. You know something is wrong but you can’t put you finger on it. 4 hours later you haven’t reached the US-Canada border and all of the sudden then your mom starts crying.

Canibal) Como faço para conhecer os homens mais estranhos Eles sempre parecem me encontrar Lembre-se daquela vez, quando eu Beijou o homem que comeu seus amigos Agora, apenas cachorros vão me seguir (ele está me seguindo?) Eu mordo a mão que me alimenta Eu bato na cara que me come Algum tipo de animal canibal Me impressionou Já nos encontramos antes? (Possivelmente em Michigan) Em alguma loja de departamentos estranha (Não vamos mais te ver) Quem sabe como algumas pessoas se tornam estranhas Cabe a mim fazê-los mortos (Aqui vamos nós novamente) Eu mordo a mão que me alimenta Eu bato na cara que me come Algum tipo de animal canibal (Animal?
