I really like that not only are you willing to admit when you make a mistake, but you show us how you fix it. Great series you're doing here man

Nice to hear props for Kyle - he's awesome. You are doing one hell of a nice job there, man. Great video and excellent tips. Nice to see things from a DIYer that doesn't do this every day for a living.

Love the channel! I have done a lot of steel clad buildings with windows and leaking around the window is always an issue. I have never seen it done like that before though and will be trying that out on our new build for sure! Thank you for sharing

My husband has been trying to talk me into building or retirement home. He was telling me about post frame construction and the way he was telling me that it would be just like his shop but only have living space on one side. I wasn't too keen on the idea of living in a steel building. We live in the south and we will need steel beams and posts for hurricanes . But after watching a couple of your videos he has won me over . love the room with the celling that goes to the roof.

Hoping to build my own post frame (from Menard's as well) in the coming years. Been following RR Buildings for awhile and always fun to hear when a creator deffer's to another. Following every video in the series, hope to use it to help our planning process when we get ready to build!

Grinding the concrete is a good idea. I hate setting doors for companies that don't have level concrete or flooring. We have to shim them and caulk it the best we can.

At 3:00... why didn’t you just cut off the vertical rib so the end cap would fit up agents the house? Ive never installed this so I’m curious.. i would have just cut off the rib and installed the end post.. i tend to take short cuts.. lol.. I’ll work on doing things the correct way... I’m very impressed at your work ethic and video production. Keep up the great work!

I've seen from previous videos that you ordered all your materials from Menards but, what kind of siding are you using here? Also the roof? Can you send me a link for those? I really like the black roof with this siding. Thank you!

With your doors do you plan on doing jamb extensions later on so they can open fully? If so I'd love to see that video. On my post frame house I have a 9" outer wall siding to drywall, so the standard jambs my doors came with only allow the door to open about 90 degrees and I want them to be able to open fully against the inner wall. I'm not sure if I should just make all new jambs or do some sort of extension.

I custom ordered these doors so my jambs would match my wall thickness. This way they will open all the way.

Great job. Why didn't you put the j metal on first before the metal?
@MrPostFrame

I’m assuming your talking about above the window. The way I trim out the window you put the top j trim in last, otherwise you would struggle to get the metal in with out damaging it plus it is way easier in my opinion.

Not so far. It’s freezing cold right now. It will be insulated and the ceiling will be installed by summer so I won’t have to worry about it. I have vented soffits and ridge so the attic should be able to vent properly.
