Rookie mistake !! 🤦🏻♂️ Try to learn those rules very well. Another mistake that you can make is to have an A J K 5 and the board is A A 4 4 8…in this case, you don’t have a full house. 😂

@ioenglishworld224

Useful video for beginners👍 But the “nuts” shown on the river in the video is not actually the nuts - the Ace-high diamond flush is the 2nd nuts and would lose to 8/9 of diamonds. In my experience you see quads and straight flushes often in Omaha so if you have a huge stack and are up against another player (especially a tight-aggressive pro) with a huge stack and you river a “nut flush” you have to consider folding if you get raised all-in.
@ioenglishworld224
3 жыл бұрын
@jabba wockeez Definitely unlikely. But impossible to put a number on the “odds” since there are a few variables to consider; e.g., the number of players dealt in the hand; the number of players that saw the flop; and the degree to which the flush cards on the board are coordinated. To elaborate on the third variable, the chances of there being a straight flush go way up if there are 3 suited/connected cards on the board; i.e., if the 5,6, and 7 of the same suit are on the board then there are three different straight flushes: the 7-high, 8-high, and 9-high. Even if your “nut flush” has a blocker like the 8 of the suit, you still have only the second nuts - you could lose to the 3/4 of that suit. And if your flush is AK (no blockers) then you only have the fourth nuts and you know nobody has the 5th nuts since you’re holding the King so your hand goes way down in value. You won’t win a big pot with that hand unless there’s a fish with a lot of chips in the hand. If you get raised all in on the river by a tight-aggressive pro after raising pot you’re hand is probably a loser. If you’re playing a small stack I don’t think you have to consider the straight flush but deep stack PLO is a different ball game.

@@percyblok6014 have you ever actually played pot limit? When a player’s stack size is less than the pot size and he/she makes the largest bet possible it’s called “all-in”. It happens all the time. Hope to see you at a PLO game sometime. Till then, good luck👍

@jabba wockeez Straight flushes happen a lot more often in Omaha than in Hold’em because everyone gets 6 different ways they can use two cards. I’d certainly never fold the nut flush when only 100 BBs deep, but when stack depth starts to go past 200 BBs and your nut flush is facing heat, you have to consider that you’re up against the straight flush. What else would they be raising you with? The King -high flush?

Would someone explain me, why AAKK and other hands with AA and other pair in your hands are ranked as best? I have seen players with pairs in their hands to crash. Especially AA, people go mad with them crashing awfully. If you have AAKK and the flop is lets say 10JA, you have "only" set of As otherwise your opponents could have straight already if they have hand like AQK10, AJQK. Having pairs quite often ends up with set, pair only or full house. Full house is a lovely story. Doesn't happen as often as I would wish while having 4 connected cards make me money quite often. Thank you for you thoughts how you look at 1st ranked AAKK, what your strategy is.

Anyone watching this vid should just turn it off. They try and tell you the best hand is AAKK double suited. But it’s not. AAJJ double suited is the top hand. This is because of blockers. You don’t want to have the kings because you want your opponent to have the kings. The only way you make as much as possible is if your opponent has a great hand as well. If you have AAKK then you have the top two best pairs and it limits how many high cards your opponents can have.

I think the lesson went over your head. If 3 of your Omaha cards already give you a straight, you need ONE of those 3 cards to hit on the board so that the OTHER 2 cards in your hand give you the straight. They are showing, visually, how that would look like -- the wrap.
