As a woman, I do think that women should get credit for serving the Lord Jesus! 😄✝️🎉We do in so many ways! I wish that Ann White was contracted solely for the women's edition and Goss was contracted solely for the men's edition. He should have done his own work and contribution towards the project, or at least added her name into the men's project as a project helper (or make it clear that he just expanded on her original project for the men's edition). Disclaimer: I, a Christian woman, agree wholeheartedly with 1 Timothy 2:9-15. The Word is inerrant, so we women should understand our role. We have so much value in the Church and should understand that we have so many opportunities to show our congregation the Jesus in us. That doesn't mean we have to be the Pastor in order to do so. (Just wanted to add that!) Thank you for the review, I loved the women's edition!

Thank you for this update. I am in agreement with your thoughts on women getting credit for their work - no exceptions. I have the Courage for Life Study Bible for Women in hardback, and was thinking about getting the one for men -- just like the She Teads Truth and He Reads Truth (I purchased both). I said then, and will say it again -- they should make a "WE Read Truth" and combine the "He" and "She" versions. So, maybe Tyndale should do a "Courage for Life Study Bible for ALL of us" 😊

Yes Tim, what you said is correct....we should give credit to women, if they contribute....there should not be any bias....credit should always be given to the person beyond gender....by the way nice study bible and good in depth information conveyance....

Hi again Tim! Just as an update to my previous comment, my NLT Courage For Life Study Bible For Women arrived in the mail today and I love it already. I got it in the Fierce Pink Leatherlike cover & it’s so beautiful & colorful. I just briefly skimmed through it, but I can tell that I am going to enjoy studying with it. It has a lot of great features. I’m so happy I bought it. Thanks again for your Bible review. I always enjoy your videos! God bless!

Thank you for your response. What you've said is spot on! Until the "men's" edition of this Bible is corrected and credit is given to Ann White (or the Goss guy writes his own letter and contributions to the Bible), I cannot in good faith recommend it to any man.

Hi Tim! Thanks for another fantastic review. I appreciate what you said about women. I agree with you. Giving credit where it’s due. I pre-ordered the women’s Bible in the leather like Fierce Pink from Amazon. This looks like an excellent Bible. Can’t wait to get it. I also just bought The Lucado Encouraging Word Bible in Blue Leathersoft from Thomas Nelson and I really love it. It’s great! God bless you Tim. 💜✝️🙏🏻

@anickelsworthbiblereviews Sometimes, I think men should read women's bibles and vice versa.....for perspective. Some people go on and on about "biblical womanhood" and I think it might serve them well to review these women's profiles. They were strong agents. For example, Jael drove a tent-stake through a man's head, for goodness sake.

I don’t get it. Separation of female and male Bibles? If they want to make study guides for small group studies between men and women, well, that’s one thing, but The Bible has no such thing! Gal. 3:28 And it is very frustrating to see that they whitewashed out the individual who was the responsible person of the work of these editions. Paul commended women in ministry as his coworkers! Paul commended by name such sisters in the Lord as Junia and Phoebe and Priscilla! To disallow the due credit to a woman for being a woman is really a bad choice on the editor/publisher’s side. Very frustrating, indeed!

Maybe they could have credited her with the added information about the person who tweaked it for men. I use commentaries written by women (Karen Jobes for example) and they are wonderful. Women should receive full acknowledgement for their contributions. John-boy Walton called his dad Daddy.

It would've been less dishonest if they'd had both contributors sign the introductory letter to the reader. Personal preference, but I dislike the "Abba Father" used in the women's Bible. There is no one holy language and this inclusion implies that English is deficient and we need to learn other languages in order to pray to God "properly" or "lovingly" or whatever was the intention behind its inclusion. Pretty Bibles, though. Hope they help many people. Thanks for your review!

I agree it’s unfortunate that a woman isn't getting the credit she deserves. But do Tyndale think they can just make a few tweaks here and there to a “Study Bible for Women” and turn it into a “Study Bible for Men”? Both genders are getting shortchanged here!
@anickelsworthbiblereviews
Жыл бұрын
I think perhaps you have a point, however the nature of this bible works for both genders, since it doesn’t have study notes or commentary. It’s designed to get the reader to interpret for themselves. The profiles are actually written by the gender represented. But, to your point, it is an odd choice.

@djlclopez128 so? I think the women's Bibles lack scholarship. I do not have kids, so I find all the motherhood emphasis irritating. I do not WANT answers from other women, either.
@djlclopez128
Жыл бұрын
@@pkmcnett5649 Well, women are built by God to have children and it's ingrained in our DNA by Him to do that. Women's Bibles are obviously going to contain motherhood emphasis. If you don't want to have a specifically labeled women's Bible, then choose something different. We don't have children yet and I don't own a women's Bible yet either, but that doesn't mean I don't want one just because I don't have children. I want one because I'm a Christian woman after God, and I want to learn from other women of faith. Titus 2:3-5 specifically tells older women to teach the younger women how to be women of God. You shouldn't be annoyed by receiving teaching from other women, but accept their advice and teaching with humility.
