Aw thanks! It's good to be back! (Now to just finish adjusting to Resolve, but I've got 3+ videos filmed! Yay!)

All video I just wanted whipped cream on top of it. But plain NY cheesecake, maybe with strawberries on top, is the absolute best!

I was so tempted! If I grab more of their treats I'll be totally doing that. (I was out of whipped cream for once, so it goes!) And yes, NY cheesecake with strawberries is a classic!

That looks tasty! It feels a little pretentious to have explicit instructions about how to eat it, though.

I totally agree with you, and I kind of wish I'd made a whole section explaining that? Like it deserves its own video really. Incoming geek out! (TL;DR: it makes sense, but I also feel like it could be done in a way that feels more educational?) In short, how you eat a food matters a whole lot. I should have tried eating it with a bigger spoon on camera to showcase the difference, but my expectation there would be that the 'balance' between the cheesecake/cream pie and the graham cracker crumbles would be far more skewed towards the cheesecake, so the crumbles would be less pronounced per bite. Explaining this by requesting folks use a certain spoon type does matter if your goal is to make sure that everyone gets the experience you're hoping for. (And also there are studies that show that the type of material your spoon is matters, so you'll get different flavors while eating with a metal versus a wooden spoon. It's actually a really cool part of food science!) On the other hand, it's a single serving dessert. Folks are going to eat cheesecake how they eat cheesecake. So the directions could probably be more educational about how the spoon/method might give you different experiences, and I could see that being really fun!
