saws are not bad once you put new fuel lines on them, and respond well to a muffler mod...i bought one new years ago....my dad has it now ive put lines on it twice in about 15 years....the top part on the carb is the strattos port basicaly a metered air leak, its an epa emissions deal all new saws have some form of strattos... the carb you recieved is for the older non-strattos wild thing they made those saws for a loooong time...and you can buy a tool online to adjust the newer carbs all poulans and husqvarnas also alot of newer trimmers have the splined screws......

She runs like a top for sure now. I could swap the old air leak thing over but no need to.

Quick question about the throttle rod lever shaft, on my old carburetor it fit fine, but when i put on the new carburetor, which is exactly the same as the one in your video, it wont stay on the throttle trigger, how did you get yours to stay on? Edit, I'm stupid as hell, I was sticking it in the wrong hole 😂

they are owned by husky, pretty sure they are made in USA, unlike the new homelites. i have a 4218, if you can tune it which is tricky becuase of weird strato-charge emission carb they run pretty well for what they are.

Good for fire wood cutting. 40cc she is at her limit bar size and chain wise. It was eating through that hard walnut pretty good, freshly sharpened the chain. The guy that owns it, i have shown him the way of McCulloch and he wants a 7-10 so I'm on the look out for a decent priced one.

She stands a bit tall when you get larger logs in there. Very cheap and didnt take long to make, used the 7-10 to make all the cuts for the frame lol.

Of course we got to help our comrades but in general there’s a lot of those little saws sitting around that people almost throw away that have very low hours

Sometimes it bees that way. Why wouldn't you sub to your channel? Good stuff and even show what goes right and wrong. Some of the saws you work on look like a lost cause but you somehow bring them back to life. Pretty cool.
