Don't take this the wrong way but I wasn't expecting Grann to be so well spoken and charismatic. This book was amazing and I'm buying multiple copies to send to friends and family.

Okay ... I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but he's an author. They generally are articulate and well spoken. 😊 Thank you for your commentary on this book. I've heard of him, but I just saw him on 60 Minutes and I want to read this book too! He really does his research. I hope you got to see the episode of 60 Minutes tonight.

As a descendant of a man who died from disease in the War of Jenkin's Ear I was finally glad more would learn about this obscure chapter in British history. I enjoyed the book but was surprised how suddenly it ended. But like he says in the epilogue it is all the untold stories of the ex-slave and native mutineers that loom so large in the end.

Should I read the lost city of z or the wavers next? I’m in the same boat as you. I’m just about done with killers of the flower moon but I’m not sure which book to pick up next
