I have a vivid memory of toys r us. When growing up my family didn’t really have much and was always struggling. My mom would do anything to make us happy. One time she took us to toys r us. She was looking for clothing on clearance trying to find the most affordable one. I picked out an expensive toy. Mind u I was like 6-7. My mom said no and to put it back. I was mad at her because I saw how this other girl and her mom were getting the exact one I wanted. I ended up getting a cheaper one. But imagine what my mom felt. She probably felt guilty for not being able to get me what toy I wanted. So please anytime that you see your parents thank them for what they have done. 90s were great too. A new retro arcade in my city opened, and boy, it’s a blast of nostalgia. The old arcade machines were cool, but the thing I loved most was the N64. Can’t get more nostalgic than playing mario 64 on the n64. When I was a boy, I grew up in a small town in California. Me and my older brother loved to play Mario brothers and duck hunt on our NES. I remember my mom and dad taking me to radio shack if I was good for me and my brothers babysitter. You see, I always loved electronics. Especially video games. I used to ask my mom if I could go to the arcade nearby. This was back when the machines took coins, not cards. When I was 10, my brother used to sneak me into his room to watch the Simpsons with him. I’m glad he did, because the simpsons changed my life. When I was a teen, I used to hang out with my friends all the time. That was fun, until one day at a theater with my girlfriend, she made out with my brother. Me and my brother didn’t talk for years. Highschool was very hard for me. I didn’t have friends, I wasn’t getting good grades, and my chances of making it to college were very low. 2 replies and I’ll continue with the story

I missed how big the world used to be, how everyday felt like a new exciting adventure for me to overcome. Now I’m older. The world is small and gray, instead of adventure I find obstacles and difficulties that plague me nearly daily… I would give anything to go back..

2001 baby here... There's nothing like having memories going to malls, restaurants, and stores that had a bit of 90s nostalgia. How I miss it...
