A lot of people don’t take into consideration how difficult it is to have children that have years between them. Nobody wants to do the same activities and everyone is going to different schools! Raising a two year old and an 8 and 9 year old is so challenging! Have kids close together. Everyone will want to go on the same rides at the theme parks and eat the same food… etc. if you want more kids, girl just go for it!
@megn5148

Yup dont have kids but even just babysitting girls 4 years apart can be difficult. Older one wants to play games younger one cant understand or messes up. Younger one wants to run around and play and jump on things or knock something down older one is building. I can't give older one as much one-on-one time as I'd like to because I have to keep younger one from trying to seriously maim herself or break something in the house. I love them both but its a venn diagram for stuff they like to do and there is more in their individual circles than in the shared space.

I held on to so much (all) of my son's baby clothes until he was almost 6. Found out an old coworker was having a boy and I knew they were struggling. @laurenarkapaw how is that weird? I'm 39 having my first baby. Sometimes things happen that can prolong when a woman gets pregnant. Watch your words carefully. Edit: the person who posted the comment has since deleted her comment.

@toribrown3982 Thank you for saying this! Illness and disability can play a huge role too. My mom had to be in remission for two years, and it was still so high risk that I was considered a miracle baby. I'm 28 and disabled, and very, very sick right now with multiple rare diseases. There's no way I could have a baby at the moment. That doesn't mean I've decided my entire future will not involve motherhood. I still have years to go before being a mom is off the table completely, so I truly appreciate you pointing out that THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, and there are MANY difficulties and barriers to pregnancy that can delay it until later years. I hope whomever needed to read our comments today, did. Because it's absolutely horrid to discredit having children at a later age.
@toribrown3982

@SylvieTress Thank you for reading my comment. I'm so happy your mom delivered a healthy and smart baby into this world. You seem like a wonderful young woman. You have many years to have children. So don't let society or anyone tell you differently. We can plan our lives, but sometimes our plans can derail. Yes, I'm older, having my first child, but I'm blessed beyond measure. I wish you nothing but happiness, joy, and good health so that when the time comes for you to have children, you can enjoy every minute! As a woman, it's disheartening to tell another woman she's too old to have a child or that it's weird to have a child at an older age. Children are a blessing regardless of when that woman chooses to become pregnant or when nature allows that woman to conceive. We don't know what struggles another person goes through to have a baby. So, women need to uplift and support each other in the journey to motherhood. I wish you love and happiness! ❤️

Well that many kids is just not realistic for everyone. I’m glad it worked for you guys, but i don’t think that most people would want that many children. Making the decision for "one more" is nothing one should easily say something along the lines of "just make one more" to. Kids should have a good life with enough love and attention from both parents (which gets harder with more kids, not impossible but definitely harder) and they need enough financial stability… not everyone can afford that. Also, especially the attention part, is a huge sacrifice from both parents, you can’t just say "not right now I need a few minutes" because with that many kids you have to spend nearly every minute with one of them to give them what they need. When you want to go out? Well find a babysitter that is ready for that challenge because always having to ask the "oldest" is making them co parents wich can be pretty unhealthy… Having that many children while only being two parents is definitely just something for a smaller minor of people and has to be super thought out. If you don’t think you want or can afford making all those sacrifices please just consider learning to be content with the kids you have instead of forcing more.. it’s hard, especially when you’re still in the little baby phase… but for some people stopping is definitely a better route.

Every part of motherhood is bittersweet. You love watching them grow bigger and age into new milestones because it is part of what makes you proud. If they learn to walk and talk early- you love their success and excellence but the memories of their smallness of their infancy behind you is what will simultaneously break your heart. I physically cannot have more kids than my son and daughter. I was already 31 when I was pregnant with my son and I thought I would never be a mom. If I were younger and in different circumstances, I would have loved more babies, but it’s a harder commitment for my situation. It’s so difficult having the stamina for the crying, sleep deprivation and the tantrums without breaking apart while they’re developing sense of autonomy and self. I do love my kids but the headaches during the challenging parts reminds me to take on what I can juggle. I’m just going to accept that I got two beautiful babies and run with my gratitude for what I managed to get. Having a new baby is always a new and challenging adjustment, but I kinda want to keep my stride while I finally have found my balance. I find it helpful when I miss their younger years that it’s much easier to not be sad when I begin to focus on how much easier and fun everything will be when we can take family vacation and not need babysitters- we can take our kids with us and have a fun time out all together as a family. I focus on everything I have to look forward to and then I don’t miss the past at the same time.
